Important Notice: We purchased and installed this classified ads software because we thought it would be a genuine enhancement to the GT classified ads system. I still believe it is a far better alternative for a classified ads section than the forum software, but people just don't seem to agree. I had hoped that people would take to the system and see its benefits after having used it for a while, but that hasn't happened.

So, I am going to admit defeat and move the classified ads section back onto the old message board forums. Posting permissions have been turned off in this software and the old classified ads forums have been reactivated. We will leave this software up through 27 June, 2014, so that people can refer to the old ads. Please place all new ads in the classified ads forums. They can be found on GT's forums index, below the Armory section. Here is a direct link to that area: The Want Ads Forums.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding some features to the classified ads forums that will make them better suited for that purpose, while keeping the features and functionality of that system that people have shown they want.

Please keep in mind that all forum rules apply to the classified ads threads. Additionally, do not post in someone's ad to haggle or arrange a deal. Please contact them directly to negotiate. Also, if you think you know where someone can get the advertised item cheaper, or you think the person is charging too much, or you don't like the product or seller, etc..., please keep it to yourself. Posting such things in someone else's classified ad thread is not allowed. If you see anyone violating the posting rules, or know of or suspect that there is a problem with a post or thread, please report the thread or post. Thanks and enjoy the new/old system.

Description:

Hey Guys,

I am a Glock Armorer and general gunsmith with a specialty in firearm re-finishing. I am offering here on GlockTalk a Glock slide refinishing service using KG's excellent Gunkote. I can receive your Glock slide, barrel and Slide stop through USPS Priority Mail flat rate box and media blast, degrease, and Gunkote your parts, replace your striker channel liner and return ship back to you directly in less than a week! The results are magnificent.....you WILL be satisfied. I am currently offering this complete turn around service for $55.00

You pay shipping to me which is around $6.00 using USPS Priority flat rate box, I pay return shipping to you.

I have been refinishing guns for more than 5 years and have done many custom jobs for my regions top shooters. If you aren't familiar with KG Gunkote, here is some info direct from KG's website:

KG Industries GUN-KOTE™ metal coating is far superior to a parkerized or blued finish in looks, durability, performance, and function. GUN-KOTE™ protects metal parts from rust, corrosion, and scratches with a beautiful finish that will wear for years and keep your custom firearm looking like new. GUN-KOTE™ provides a durable finish that will not break down, peel or dissolve, and is resistant to ALL known gun solvents & thinners. It is formulated to provide excellent impact resistance, lubricity (meets military dry firing specifications), heat dissipation, chemical resistance, corrosion protection, durability, and scratch resistance. GUN-KOTE™ was specified by the U.S. Military for use on SOCOM Special Sniper Weapons (SPR’s) in 2003, specially formulated for salt corrosion protection, it also meets the Military requirements for "Resistant to Chemicals". GUN-KOTE™ has outstanding temperature variation durability ( 500 degrees F to -300 degrees F) and lubrication qualities. No other firearm finish can compete.

Any questions or order requests can be PM'd to me here on GT or better yet, sent to my email at jayhiggins38@hotmail.com

Thanks Guys!

Hey Redneck,

I have Satin black, AK black (deeper black) HK Black (more flat but very deep black) and Desert tan. In my experience with Glocks, the slide should always remain black and the frame colors may vary....the light colors on the slides causes glare along the top of the slide and can wreak havoc with your sight picture/acquisition. I've done two slides light colors and changed them both back to black at the owners' request.
