View Full Version : Griffon 1911 combat
Anyone have one? Shoot one? Any comments? Quality? I have found used one for $340. I don't own any .45's and have only shot 1 in my life. I looked at it the other day at a gun shop and I love the feel. I still will never give up any of my glocks for a 1911 but would like to add a range gun to my collection. The Griffon has nightsights (PT's, I think), extended safety, slide release lever, skeletonized hammer and trigger, and is blued. Any help would be a big help. Thanks, Brandon.

yes sir griffon 1911's are norinco's.the NOR are brought to south africa by Continental Weapons and sent a gunsmith to be renamed to a griffon with some work done.then they are sent to U.S. for one cannot export Norinco to U.S.
i prefare a std norinco and have a far better job done, and the griffons are only compact or commander sized,
for the price they work but I will throw away all the changes by griffon and install better quality parts.
I have also seen a full size Griffon that is sold for $389 by CDNN. It has all the bell and whistles. Are the added parts of a Griffon just poor quality or are they just not really match grade? Thanks again, Brandon.
