Well, I took my wife and 13 year old daughter to our local indoor range today and both shot my 9mm Glock 19. My wife didn't like it too much because of the thickness of it. But my daughter was a dead eye with it. She hasn't shot much yet, my AR15 a little which she loved, and then my Glock. I went through all of the safety steps with her prior to going and our range you have to take a little test to show that you have some knowledge of safety even before you go into the range. I put one in the mag and showed her how to chamber a round and the proper 2 handed grip. I set the target out about 7 yds. for her. I will have to say she was right on. She loved it, hit right where she was aiming at each time. Not sure where my wifes first shot went, she closes her eyes on the first round, luckily she didn't hit the ceiling because that would have cost me $25 and an escort out of the range:whistling:

wholly molley thats the number one weapon for cowgirls from Nebraska. We all own a few of them, its a great coyote gun easy to pack, and beautiful to look at.
Glad to hear your daughter liked it.
Maybe you need to let someone else show your mate how to shoot with different guns, sometimes having your mate around feels like your standing in a sage brush up against a barb wire fence.
Maybe she would like having Sam Elliot show her how to handle a AR15?

You are funny Nebraska Cow Girl! If Sam Elliot or Tom Selleck were there talking to my wife and showing her the ins and outs of handling a gun and shooting....hmm. It could get ugly:wow: I would just have to walk away and let her have her little bit of heaven.
My wife is trying other types of handguns, both revolver and semi-automatic. She has tried and S&W 38 special, thought the kick was too much for her because of the center of mass of the revolver and such. And she has tried a Sig 9mm metal framed, she liked it but thought it would be too heavy for her to carry. We are going to look at the S&W MP9mm next, though it doesn't have a safety per say and she would probably not carry it cocked and locked.

I told my daughter next time that we go I would rent her a 22 pistol so she could get used to shooting without the big bang and recoil but she said no that she likes shooting the Glock. My daughter also did a school report about the Second Amendment just last week and a girl friend helped her do some research. They got to talking and my daughter told her friend that I have taken her shooting and and her friend's dad wants to take his daughter too since he takes her twin brother sometimes. It would be great if the two families could go the the range together.

Edit: I just looked at your bio. My daughter would be very jealous. She says that I don't love her enough because I won't buy her a horse! My little 1 acre of land isn't enough land to have a horse I tell her. Doesn't matter. Maybe she needs to move to Nebraska when she gets out of school so she can have her horse. Hmm....No I don't want her moving that far away. Oh well, she'll figure it out.

Great job getting the family involved. And training them with the G19 is a good choice.
