Is there a such thing? I've seen the Grendel P30....Yuck.
With so many .22LR pistols out there why isn't there any .22 mags?
A Beretta Bobcat in .22 mag would be cool.
Even a Glock conversion kit would be great.
Am I out of luck?
Cant say I have ever saw one.

click on the amt-automag link on left side of home page.
There are used versions of the original AMT on the market, average price is about $400.

generally speaking they have feeding problems due to the way the cartidge is designed....but some guns do work with them alright, but its the exception not the norm....hence the revolver versions still flourish and the semi-autos are out of production or very scarse

that would be really something if KT can make those reliable in the hands of the shooting public....
Even though I hate Kel-Tec, this looks pretty cool. I wish it had a scope mount like a Ruger Mark III instead of a frame mounted rail, though. A red-dot on that would be really handy.

?
because they just don't work well due to case lenght
If they did it would be a big seller.
Sweet, a LEGO gun that actually fires.
Ketec looks Very interesting.
AMT sez in the manual to shoot only Winchester, tho I think other manufacturers have improved (upped the power level) of their ammo since then. I liked mine when I had it, but moved on to higher powered pistols.

The market would be me. Have had a standing order for one since November last year.

And the fact that differing ammo has totally different qualities. I understand (maybe wrongly) that the power is different enough between makers of 22mag that the PMR-30 uses a locked breach/blowback system that switches between methods depending on the power of the round.
That could solve many of the problems, if it works right.

If it actually works I'll get one w/o question. It's funky-cool looking but I'd have to swap out the Fisher-Price sights for some Novaks straightaway.
Check out the Excel Arms Accelerator 22 mag. pistol (MP22 ) It comes with 2 Clips, and it takes about 200 rounds to break in, after that it work great.

I’d love to take a close look at this gun when it becomes more widely available. I think it’s just cool. Nutnfancy looked at this gun at the SHOT during his Kel-Tec booth visit. The PMR-30 comes at the 27 minute mark in the video.

Kel-Tec has a 22lr in development project, but it all depends on if they can get 30 rounds of .22LR to stack and feed reliably in a straight magazine. If it does work out, there would be a conversion kit (slide & magazine) for the PMR-30. A dedicated 22lr pistol would soon follow. This is from a Kel-Tec employee that post on the KTOG Forum.
Those 4 screws on top are for an add on rail for a sight...

IIRC as mentioned the AMT does best with Winchester. Mine has also done well with CCI. If you look at the chamber of the AMT you will see that its dimpled and you'll also see this on the ejected brass. I've been told the reason behind this is that the brass expanding into the dimples delays the ejection process therefore allowing more pressure to build up to make it cycle reliably. Don't know how true that is, but it sounds logical to me

I not sure with the price of WRM ammo I would want a "plinker" but it might be a nice hunting back up gun or finish them off gun. The gun will cause perment hearing loss if used as a SD gun indoors w/o protection, this is a common problem with 22 cal high velocity rounds like the 22 WMR, 5.7X57, and 223 and something to consider.

The 8" barreled Accelerator I bought is a tack driver, with as good or better accuracy then my Ruger 96/22 WMR 16" lever carbine. The gun is all SS, is an internal hammer fired gun like FN's 5N7, but the quality and attention to detail is on par with S&W 3rd Gen SS guns like the 45xx & 10xx series models. This gun is so well made that it will easily be a multi-generation pass down gun. Scoped at 50 yards I can get quarter sized group with Winchester Dynapoints would you believe and down to nickel sized with CCI MaxiMag 40 gr ammo. The gun with a good scope and younger hand then mine is capable of being a 100 yard varmint gun for the larger rodents and coyotes.
Down side is the gun is heavy and customer service is not on par with Kel-Tec for sure, but for a new start-up company that's not been making guns for a hundred years it's ok I guess. Also the gun has a rather small grip, or maybe I should say small for large hands like mine.
