my fav round is a .45 in a auto pistol.
That said I would go with a G30/21 any day.
I dont really care for a .40
If I want a big bullet I will take a .45
But the G33,34,35 in a .357 sig is one really hot round if you like smaller fast bullets that is very accurate and drops only about 2-3 inches at 100 yards!
Think of it as a +P+9mm on nitrous;)
Either would do their part for accuracy if you do yours. I have a friend who did the best qualifying score with the local city PD with a glock 22. And since I am training for the county reserves, I have seen some pretty impressive(certainly compared to me anyway) shooting with the 21.
I have not shot a full size 40, but I don't have a huge problem with the recoil of a .45. Either would be an effective and controlable round. I prefer the .45 round, but the .40 would fit my grip a little better. Though I would consider an aftermarket barrel for the 22 for the extra chamber support.

I have a G21 and I had a G22. I would say that the G21 is the most accurate Glock that I have ever shot. I have also heard that the .40sw cartridge isn't the most accurate in the world... fine for self defense of course.
