G21 mags in G30?

I thought I read this somewhere before but I can't find it now. Can someone tell me if G21 mags will work in a G30?

(My husband bought a G21 as an impulse buy and is thinking about selling it. He offered one of the mags to me to use in the G30 that I just bought yesterday. The G21 mag seems to seat well in the G30, it just sticks out more. I'm going to the range today and want to know if it's safe to shoot this way.)

Also, is there a web site or chart anywhere that summarizes what parts are interchangable between the different Glock models? (Between the the two of us, we currently have G21, G30, G19, G17.)

It will work, just like your 17 mags will work in your 19.

Just remove the 36 from the Glock lineup, and the same goes for each caliber, as long as the mag is long enough. Obviously, a 26 mag wouldn't work in a 17, without taking a saw to the grip. ;)

Also, 357SIG mags are interchangeable with .40 S&W mags.

you can even get grip extenders that fit on the g21 mag to conform to the g30 grip and act as a better handle on the g21 mag

I carry the G30 with a 9 or 10 rd mag. I carry the G21 mags with +2 as my extra mags. That gives me 15 rds in my spare mags. They stick out the bottom but they grip and shoot fine. The +2s seem to be made more secure than in the past. Can get them at

and come with an extra power spring which is desireable.

I have tried the extender/adaptor on the G21 mag which forms a grip in the G30, but it makes the mag more bulky and difficult to carry. I didn't find them necessary so I don't use them on my mags.
