background check question.

The same day I paid for my new G19 I bought a Remington 870 earlier that morning at the same place but they still charged me a $10 background check fee on the G19, I was just curious if the handgun background check is any different then the one they use for non regulated firearms. I didn't know if that had anything to do with me having to wait 8 - 10 days before I can pick up my glock. because I thought the waiting period was only 7 days? this is the first handgun I've purchased in MD maybe thats why its taking so long.

MSP is taking around 10 days to get paperwork back.
I know that the cop shop in Bmore tells it customers to come back 10 days so the paperwork will be in.

I think dealers could release on the 7th without paperwork but wont due to the liabilitys

Did you do the GSSF buy at the Cop Shop?

yes I did, I couldn't wait for my discount form though lol. I bought a shotgun earlier that day so I wouldn't go home empty handed...
