Thanks.

It would be worth it, I see you have a few 9's. They had shelves on the WWB #100 9MM when I was there.

Have MERCY ammo has gotten expensive. I miss 100 rounds of 9mm WWB for $9 plus tax. :crying:

that is pretty high...i went on a walmart hunt a couple weeks ago, and ended up getting 10 boxes of wwb 40sw 100 packs for right around 300 total. 24 for a 50 pack is very high.

I guess that explains the surplus there

Ammo there is overpriced, and that's why it's usually in stock.

I was at the range yesterday and there was a guy with his "new" G19C which he'd bought a few weeks ago. He'd been unable to find any 9mm ammo to shoot it and finally broke down and paid $20 each for boxes of 50 Speer Lawman 115gr FMJ at the store where he'd bought the gun.

On the bright side, he got a really nice shooter. I fired a few shots through it, and with the stock plastic sights centered, it was dead on at 25 yds. I've had to drift my sights over to the right a bit, and I'd kind of assumed I was compensating for poor trigger control, but now I wonder.

I agree, All I can suggest to you guys is save your brass and start reloading.

Ok...this is just insane. I was in Gander Mountain in Orlando, and they have ammo...and for good reason.

9mm Speer Lawman (115gr, FMJ): $19 for a box of 50
.45acp Winchester (230gr, FMJ): $39 for a box of 50

That's $380/1000 for 9mm, and $780/1000 for .45.

OMFG...I need some of the drugs they're on.

Was just in Walmart in Apopka. They actually have winchester 9mm value packs ($19 and change each)...a lot of them. Not much else in the way of handgun ammo. Too bad I was looking for .45, and they had none.

I went to a gun show in Newberry yesterday. The prices were not anything special so I did not buy a gun. They did have 9mm ammo though and today I was so mad at myself for not buying some. I looked at 2 Wal-Marts, Gander Mountain and Dicks and there was almost no ammo at any of them. Gander had some but the price was too high for my budget. :steamed: I could have gotten it at the gun show for $14.00 a box. It is almost impossiblt to find anything here unless you are looking at the higher calibers or shotgun shells.

$24 is high for 50 count white box. But if that is all you can find then, maybe not. WalMart sells the same box for $17.99, but they rarely have any.

Just bought 1000 of American Eagle 165 gr .40 cal for $19 per 50 at the Tampa gun show last weekend. I had just paid $25 for the last 3 boxes of Fiocchi .40 cal at another booth and was pissed about it. Then I found the mother load in the back corner.

I've been in there once (during this ammo "crisis") and they were well stocked. I didn't check on the prices however.

Go online... You may wait a little but eventually it will come and you will get yours before they shipped to the stores ...

I gave up on the constant searching for ammo. Now when I need a box I go out into the garage and make it myself :)
