i went out agian this weekend. tried heading farther north. it was overcast and relatively cool so i thought i would have better luck. i fulshed 8 coveys of quail, saw 4 rabbits and got a glimpse of 2 whitetail does running through the brush. other than that no doves. i guess they just haven't made it this far south yet.

it was nice weather, i found a new place to hunt quail, saw some deer and got my truck really, really muddy. all in all a good trip.

mpol, 8 coveys of quail! screw the dove! unless quail isn't in season yet.

quail season doesn't start til october 11th. my favorite 4 months of the year.
