You are quite welcome! Bringing people into the world of CZ is a rewarding past-time:)

Glad to have you with us!

As for the Duty. The gun will be attracting a lot of people who never thought about CZs
before.

If I don't buy a second Glock 19, this gun will be the reason.

Why would CZ put such a short barrel (3.7 inches) on a duty gun?

Many duty guns have a bbl about this size. NYPD carries Glock 19s which have a 4" bbl. My sig sp2022 is duty gun and also has a 3.9" bbl.

American cops did great with 2 and 4-inch barrels for 75 years with 6 shots of .38

I think this is a FAR superior weapon.

Anyone wondering about the huge triggergard?
Ever been to the Slavic countries in the winter?

No gloves=no fingers.

Man those P-07's look pretty snazzy. Are they using the locked breech system similar to Glock's? or are they still using the same CZ style locking lugs?

It could conceivably be used as both a uniformed duty AND a plainclothes/ off duty weapon.

Think like an administrator: "I could equip my officers with a full size pistol, and then spend extra training time (and budget) on making sure they qual with their individual off duty or plainclothes weapon. OR, I could purchase a single, mid-sized model that may work reasonably well for everybody in most situations, thereby saving money and man hours (= money), while simultaneously maximizing my officers' allotted training time on that ONE weapon. I'm a hero!"

CZ is simply designing and marketing a product toward satisfying that mindset. Think Glock 19, HK P2000, Sig 229 and 250, etc...

I think this CZ is going to be a winner.

I still have to find a decent IWB holster for my P07. That beavertail digs into my side a wee bit too much. :faint:

Are there any specific holsters for this or will it fit in other holsters? Looks like it might work in an XD holster.

clarkstoncz

Yes, XD holsters are working for now, as CZ Leathersmiths try to get dummy guns for molds.

That "One gun for all situations" idea has been used by German law enforcement for years. The Walther P99, P5 and H&K P7 were designed to be the same way.

I got to handle one at a store finally.
Great feel, great sights, great trigger.
Sort of a poor man's HK.

If I didn't already have a G19 I'd get one and do the manual safety
conversion . . .

I took my NEW P-07 out today for its first rounds. My plan was to shoot 150 rounds of Federal Champion 115g FMJ. During some dry firing last night, after I gave it a good cleaning, the hammer failed to fall in SA. This happened several times.

Today, I shot at 7 yards. 5 shots at 3 different targets. All shots had to be DA because when live firing the hammer did not fall in SA!

After shooting 15 rounds in DA, I tried SA again, and what happened was, in my mind, unsafe: In SA, I pulled the trigger and nothing. I continued to pull with more pressure and after about a second the hammer fell...WTF?

No problems with my magazines.

My guide rod is mint, but I only fire 15 rounds.

Accuracy: Well, I'm not an expert marksman, but I think the pistol is accurate. It did as good as I could shoot. See Below.

I love the look and feel of this pistol, but CZ will be called on Monday.

Call CZ and ask for a call tag.
They will make it good.

It's already been shipped-it's on a FedEx truck somewhere. I've read many posts on the CZ forum how CZ-USA WILL take care of it, I have confidence that they'll take care of the problem.

Based on what I've read in the CZ forums, I wouldn't bother. Looks like there are still some serious issues to work out.

Just swapped my G19 for one of these. An impressive gun - not as easy to conceal as the Glock, but far sweeter on the range in my experience.

While 9mm versions had some teething problems, CZ was soon to stand behind the
guns and gets things set right with owners.

I'm told by more than a few satisfied customers- that the .40 caliber P-07s are running great.

The P-07 Duty, and forthcoming P-08 Duty are not CZs answer to Glocks,
just an alternative to the traditional CZ owner, or new shooters wanting something
progressive.

I only wish I could get more or these shirts, as they were a big hit with P-07 fans.

South African, Asian and CZech forces have taken to the P-07.
Will you?

So are the 9mms good to go now? Is there a safe serial number range or manufacture date to look out for?

Ok I am sitting here at LAX no gun magazines to be found so I thought I would post a question.. What holsters are you using for your P-07 Duties? I got one right before vacation and have not fired it yet..The weekend can not get here soon enough! Probably want a OWB.

Deep concealment: Remora, SmartCarry (generic holsters).
OWB: Blackhawk Serpa (USP version), Front Line paddle holster.
Uniformed duty carry: Front Line HDL holster - photos attached.

Lior where did you get that holster? I like it!!

Purchased in Israel from CZ's dealer here, Meir Roth. The holster manufacturer Front Line is in the same town as the dealership, and they ordered the holster for me. I believe Front Line has a dealer stateside, but am not sure that they stock every holster conceivable. Front Line is one of the few holster manufacturers to provide most of their product catalog for the P07.

Thanks Lior
I just got my P-07 last week. I have not shot it yet because had to go out of town.
Back now and it is killing me to shoot it.. I love my 75B..Thinking of leaving the decocker on...any suggestions? I will try and find a US store!

Lior

Anyone who is used to a large safety for condition 1 carry will be disappointed with the minuscule streamlined specimen that the P07 has. I decided to switch to a decocker for condition 2 carry after giving up on single handed slide racking with this gun.
