mga sirs ano ba ang advantage ng egw oversized firing pin stop yung squared ang bottom compared sa ordinary firing pin stop?

its still oversized so it can be fitted snugly by a competent smith, its squared so you could still shape it to have just enought contour to give your slide the right timing

I read in another forum that the EGW design is the original firing pin stop design for the 1911. The square bottom's design is supposed help in dampening recoil. to The US Army wanted the bottom curved after receiving complaints that the pistol was hard to cock with the hammer down (the proper procedure was to cock the hammer and cycle the slide).

There are other EGW firing pin stop users that slightly bevel the bottom of the firing pin stop.

My personal experience is that it significantly reduces the perceived recoil in my ST1 1911.
But for all intents and purposes, recoil is rather subjective.
I loved my 1911 even more after I made the change.
