Guys,

I've been hearing that the .40 is not a really good caliber for the 1911.

My question is:

1) How is your 1911 in .40 doing?

2) If there are problems, what did you do to fix it? how is the gun after trying to fix the problem?

3) Lastly, which is better Armscor or Metroarms?

Thanks in advance!

It's a good caliber for a 1911. I surely miss shooting my brother's BulM5 in .40 S & W.

I prefer .45 ACP or .38 Super for carry in a single stack 1911.

i had a 1911 para ord. 40 cal, sti 40 cal and a glock 40 all are good in competition bro.

go go go buy na bro, you wont go wrong with both gun brands.

the only problem with metro is they dont have hi-capacity 40 cal yet.
calling metroarms, produce na ng hi cap mga sirs.

Have a competenmt smith look at your ejector , kung may possibility tumama sa primer
And for god sakes, avoid slamming your hand sa frame pag nag jam heehee that's my fave panuorin
Kung bibili ka ng reload , siguraduhin mo alam nya ginagawa nya

My old std gun had about 40k rounds thru it walang problema
I loved it , but I loved cash even better
Sold it slightly abused
1911s di masyado nag depreciate

Salamat po sa insights.

From another forum po they say that the Metroarms is better in terms of worksmanship vs. Armscor BUT they also said that its a very close fight between the two.

The thing is... wala pang website Metroarms so I cant really look into the company's profile, products, and etc.

I sure hope makita ko mga baril nila this coming gun show.

I've been looking for the thread or forum where I've read the thing about the .40 not having enough OEA (or something sorry po... nag crash kasi yung pc ko and i was like reading 4 gun forums and about 10 threads).

you mean cartridge OAL? Yes could be a problem. My SV and my STI would eat anything. Factory, long loaded rounds etc. SV is a factory 2 nd hand pistol that was tweaked by the owner. STI is from Benny Hill.
