What do you think will happen in the aftermath of the shooting rampage? I can't imagine the state government will sit around and do nothing at all after this incident. Emotions will be running very high in this state over the next couple of weeks. We need to keep a close eye on new proposed laws so we can write our reps immediately.

I'd say give everybody a rifle.

If there are more law abiding folks with carry permits who are carrying, then a crazed gunman could be stopped sooner. Thus reducing the body count.

Governor Riley visited Geneva and spoke with the local PD and responding State Troopers. He asked them specifically if there were more/better equipment that would have made a difference. The Chief said that they were not "undergunned," and that they did not need different weapons.

He went on the say that the most fire any LEO responded with was a wildlife officer who fired a total of 20 rounds. Upon facing this level of fire, the suspect took his own life.

Hopefully the Rats in the legislature won't try to cram more gun control down our throats.

If you are "undergunned", that is when you get more guns, not give the opponent less.

Particularly in situations where your opponent is not identified until he initiates the confrontation - he will choose to do so when he has armed himself.
