-Shooters meeting and walk through is at 9:45am

-Exit on #108, at the end of the off ramp take a right onto Purcell

Talking about guns on the internet is not going to improve your shooting skills or teach you the pros and cons of your rifle / carbine and the optics and accessories you have mounted on it.
**Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the guys that put these matches on and don't make a dime off any of these matches. I post this information in an attempt to get guys off the internet and involved in quality trigger time and the shooting sports.**
Hope to see some of you at next month's match!
(Thanks to Hozer and the rest of the guys for all the effort they put into these matches!!!)

Hmmm I have had Sundays off lately.... It's a bit of a drive from here but it looks like fun! I'll have to convince the lady that I need a magnifier for my EoTech first. That way I'll actually be able to hit targets at 400yds. It would be a nice change from all the close range stuff we do at work.

Well it is a game after all... Nothing illegal/cheating about using a break on an AR.

About how much ammo do we need to bring?

Truer words never spoken.
Great thread Jeff! It has given me some inspiration to help get my local range up to date with some run and gun targets so we can play too. I am going to see if the boss will let me commandeer some steel at work so I can get started. I have been thinking about it for a while now but this is the push I needed......Thanks!

I cant see the pic, but I am guessing its big Chuck and his S&B Short Dot.

Minimum round count is under 100. Most guys go through 130-150. Bring 200-250 and you will be fine.
No match in June, scheduling conflict with the range. However there is a Sniper match this Saturday.
Next time I'm up in CO I might think about getting over there to try it
Rod and Cheryl come up now and again. Shelby made it up a few times and Tate waves his arms like he might.
You might want to car pool up...
Hozer is correct, it's Big Chuck with a Schmidt and Bender 1.1-4x Short Dot
No match this Sunday. Maybe see some of you 26 July...
If it was easy, girls could do it.

I think I'm gonna get my Daewoo sighted in and maybe go to the one in August as a graduation present to myself from medic school.
Sorry for the delay in getting up the pics. Been extremely busy the last few weeks.

Outstanding,........ looks like fun!
Just got this via email (match this coming Sunday):
This Sunday there will be yet another rifle match in Pueblo. We will be sticking with the 3 stage format of one long range (400 yards) stage, one medium range (300 yards) stage and of course the dreaded standards.
In addition to all that Justin has talked me into a rimfire side match. We might as well put all that Sportsmans Team Challenge steel to use... Plan on 2-6 inch plates out to 125 yards and maybe some bonus 1 inch plates at 50 or so yards. There will be 3 divisions. Tactical using 10 round mags. Open using 10 round plus mags and Manual Operated using whatever capacity mags/tubes you want. Optics allowed in any division. No 22 mags or 17 anything. Just good old fashioned 22 long rifle. No hyper velocity ammo like Stingers/Yellow Jackets/Velicitors ect. High velocity ammo is fine. So dust off that 10/22 or AR-15 conversion and come play.
Dont forget Sept is the annual AK vs AR match.
Good luck to everyone that is headed to DPMS.
We are going to be short on set-up help *again* this month, so please try to come out early. Hope to see you guys Sunday.

If you're refering to my post, I do go shoot. Quite often actually. The only ranges that I know of around here are bench shooting only though.

I don't have any optics yet or I'd be down. Hoping to scope my 20" soon so maybe I can make it down later in the year.

You don't have to have optics to shoot the match. There was a shooter at last months match using a 14.5" Noveske N4 carbine with iron sights.

If there is a target you can't hit or you can't see, just holler out "MOVING ON" and the range safety officer will know that you are skiping that target.
Optics help you see the target better.
There are no prizes, no ego, no one makes fun of or looks down on new shooters.
Each match is an opportunity to come out and learn something about yourself as a shooter, your gun, and the accessories you have mounted on that gun.
Dont forget to bring a 22 tomorrow and an AK next month.

Just realized I missed this question. Sorry I'm 10 months late.
SBR's don't have an issue as long as the shooter is good to go and he has optic with adequate magnification and knows his hold overs. I shoot at the gong at 425 yards with my SBR on a regular basis. Shorter barrels aren't less accurate, they just produce less velocity, and the rounds drop off a little quicker, so knowing your hold overs at longer distances is the main concern when shooting distance with a SBR.
Would love to find something like this in Northern VA!!
