View Full Version : G27 9mm Barrel Questions
I know that this subject has been talked about on another thread already, but I have some specific questions about using a 9mm barrel in a G27. I have ordered an EFK 9mm barrel for my G27 from TopGlock. I am curious if anyone else has used this barrel before, and what I might expect in the way of fitting problems and/or malfunctions. Also, I was wondering if the G26 magazines will just slip into my G27 without any issues. Any advice will be greatly appreciatied.

The barrel should fit perfectly, and G26 mags will work. You may have extractor and/or ejector problems. Some do, some don't.
Thank you Danny. Next question. Since the G26 and G27 mags are the same external size, can I put G27 Pierce +1 mag extensions on the G26 mags?

Sure, if you want to run the miniscule risk of breaking the law.

To remain purely legal, get the Pearce NON+1 extensions for the 26 mags. Same feel, no risk.
Thanks for the responses. Can someone please explain to me why it would be illegal to add a +1 extension to a new mag, while I can legally buy (assuming I could afford) all of the pre-ban hi cap's I want?

Because you would be manufacturing a new high capacity magazine. Old ones are legal, new ones are not.
It is a Federal offense to increase the magazine capacity of a post ban magazine to more that 10 rounds. You may increase a 9 round mag to 10, but not a 10 round mag to 11. Just use a G19 hi-cap with an A&G sleeve.
This was one very sweet drop-in conversion. After all of the warnings that I have read about "range use only", "some fitting may be required", "possible malfunctions" and "not for carry", I am quite pleased at the outcome. The EFK 9mm barrel that I bought, along with a couple of G26 mags, worked like a champ. I fired 150 rounds of CCI FMJ Blazers through my G27 with the new barrel, and had zero malfunctions. If there was one negative thng about the experience, I can't think of it. This was just as smooth a conversion as it was putting in the stock Glock .357 Sig barrel. I would recommend it to anyone.
