Talking to the recruiter in a couple of days...

What are some questions that I need to be asking? I'm not well versed in the "military ways" so I'm not sure. I've heard some horror stories about contracts being screwed up in the way of benefits, bonus', etc by the recruiters.

If I do go through with enlisting, it will be in the Reserves and 31B.

Also, if someone could outline the enlisting steps I would greatly appreciate it! I would like to half-way be able to seem like I know what I'm talking about when I speak with the recruiter.

Find what you wants, see if it is available, get everything in writing. Take the ASVAB, go to MEPS for the physical. Wait for Boot (or whatever the Army calls it...), have fun. It would be helpful to take someone with you when you talk with the recruiter who has been in the Army to be a BS meter for you.
