:wavey:

I was wondering from all g21SF owners what most of you have and why?
The SF with ambi mag release and pic rail or the one with the regular mag release and the Glock rail?:dunno:

Regular rail because I don't need either and standard mag release because there are any number of owners of the ambi that report having problems. Glocks are defensive pistols that work. I see no reason to buy a Glock that has a "new & improved" feature that may not work.

I have one with Glock rail and standard mag release because (1) that's the version I wanted and (2) that is the only G21SF model "approved" for sale to non-LE in California. I have another with Glock rail and ambi release because the LE dealer made a mistake!

BOTH :tongueout: , pic rail w/ambi & glock rail w/single
If I had to go with just one I would choose the glock rail w/single for two reasons:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
1. I had an issue with the ambi release sticking until fixed by a Glock Armorer.<o:p></o:p>
2. The accessory’s are not as snug up on the gun as the Glock rail.<o:p></o:p>

All the same? You must have the ultra rare G26, G27 and G36 with Glock rails, yes?

Ambidextrous with Glock Rail.

My mistake. No rails on the 26, 27, or 36. I ment the mag. release are all standard. I don't have a rail on my 17 either. It was one of the first models.

Standard, Glock.

I don't need it any other way.

I have a standard G21, the grip is fine for me. I do wish I had the amb. mag. rel. being a southpaw.

Just bought a standard 21SF after reviewing a used 21SF with ambi and Pitcanny rail.

IPDA/USPSA holster hangup issue a concern with the ambi and Pitcanny rail.

I have the Glock rail and ambi mag release. I don't plan to use the rail, and I am right handed, so these were not hard choices for me. If I could have bought a regular mag release I would have, but mine works fine even with a full magazine.

Standard 3rd-gen G21, Glock rail and standard mag release. I got mine before they came out with the SF.

21SF w/ the ambi release and pic rail. I have had no problems whatsoever with it, it has become my favorite pistol!

Glock rail and ambi release. I CAN carry this thing in a holster if I had to,(the Picatinny rail is bad to catch on some holsters.) Actually I got this gun for $399 in what appeared to be mint condition. My plan is for it to be a designated "house gun" and I bought the Glock weapon light today.

Standard magazine release and Glock rail.

I did have a ambidextrous release and Glock rail. However I had a serious problem with the ambidextrous release when preforming tactical reloads. The magazine release would not return to center when releasing a partially depleted magazine and would not secure the new magazine. Glock replaced my 21SF with the standard magazine release and the Glock rail. Now I'm very happy with my Glock!

21SF w/Glock rail and standard mag release.Factory night sights too. Didn't care for the ambi release digging into my right hand when I tested one. No Pic rail because of holster issues.

Standard 3rd Generation G21 with regular mag release and Glock rail. Because that's what God and Gaston came up with over drinks and that's what works. Accurate as a laser, reliable as all hell and comforting like no other when you need it in your hand.

I just ordered a SF standard with factory Night Sights. I already own a regular G21 and wanted mags and holsters to be the same.

I just got a slightly used G21SF with Glock rail, Glock light with the Ambi mag release for $360. Austrian proof marks. 18.00 transfer. Guide rod end was broken and I ordered a new one for 6.01 from Express Police Supply.

I was in a gunshop when the owner offered it for sale to the shop manager. The manager took the gun apart and found the broken guide rod and turned the seller down. I then approached the owner and asked him what he was looking to get. He said 350 or $400. I offered 350. He accepted and I gave him $360. For once a deal for me.

The guide rod end was missing about a third of the large circle end. Still seems like it will function. I don't think there is any reason not to try it out before the new rod is in. Opinions.

Also, would improperly seating the guiderod in the slide during reassembly cause this kind of breakage?

Gen2 G21 for me.

Maybe I'll get a G21sf, seems like it would be a better fit if I were wearing gloves. If I do get one, I'll get the non-ambi model with regular rail.

I have a G21SF with the ambi-mag release and glock rail. Great pistol, ZERO problems, and the grip feels alot nicer than my standard G20.

my first glock was a g21sf/ambi i had problems with it before i found this forum. My dealer swapped me out for the standard g21. I have large hands so could not tell much difference. It shoots whatever you put in it and like a laser. I have several CZ's and like the Glocks alot.
The difference between the SF models and the standard grips for trigger reach are around 5mm is what i have been told do not know for sure but 5mm is not much to me . Anyway i like the G21 platform as my G20 and 2 G19 gen 4 models. See my first Glock got me hooked. good shooting to all....Great forum, thanks David
