OpenGL (?) Issues on Ubuntu 9.04 and Dell Latitude

I just installed Jaunty on my Dell Latitude D630 with the Intel GM965 Express video card. When I run Blender, the screen has some serious refresh issues:

I'd better dollars to donuts that it's a driver issue, but I'm not sure what to use. Blender has worked for me on this laptop under Windows, so I don't think it's a hardware limitation.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Intel Graphics are generally pretty well supported, but it could be a driver issue.

Is this the same version of Blender that you had under Windows... it might be a software issue.
