View Full Version : Apple Macbook Pro question.
Does Apple have an educational discount program for Macbook Pro?
If not, do they have a factory seconds outlet?

Not sure where you'll get the best deal, so definitely shop around. I keep an eye on sites like fatwallet.com and slickdeals.net to find discounts or sales. Macs don't often go on sale, so you might not have much luck with that.
My new MacBook (White) arrived yesterday...gotta say these things are nice, it will have the web page loaded before I can even get down to the mouse to scroll the page.
Also, gotta get "Handbrake" along with "VLC Media Player"... in approx 3 hours you can do what takes 48 + hours on my old Windows desktop. It can do in 20 minutes what would take 8 hours on my old G4 iBook.
Also......BE SURE, if you are looking at the "Educational Discount" go for the free iPod Touch. It's a rebate thing, I went ahead and got the iPod touch, after I get my rebate check (they say within 30 days), I'm going to sell off the Touch on ebay.....figured that would help knock some off the price of the new laptop.
