they will still issue you a 1 year ptc, regardless, if there's a comelec gunban or not. they will not pro rate the fees for the ptc.

Just called up our friends in FED and inquired about renewal ng PTC DISCOUNT??? ASA PA!!! The best you can do to get the most out of your PTC is to see if you can get an exemption during the gun ban. If not then you just have to live with the fact that you paid for one year's worth but only get to use it for about six months.

nagbababaan now ang singil sa ptc because there is a gun ban next year. am just curious how much it will costs to apply for an exemption from the comelec.....

I chanced upon Commissioner Rafanan on the Paranaque PPCRV District assembly 2 weeks ago. I asked whether Comelec will costumarily be processing gun ban exemptions for the coming elections. His answer was indeed the commission is for a total gun ban during the period, adding that it will just be a matter of confirming this with a resolution that they will pass.

So I am thinking twice on the PTC renewal. Sayang naman.
Maybe somebody can confirm this?
