Guys, maybe you can help out. My girlfriend wants to get into the sport and i can't think of a gun that would be ok for her. she's 5'2" and she was able to handle my STI full size long dust. budget would be around 25-30k :P any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

My advice is to take her on a gunstore tour, and let her shop around.
Renting/borrowing different pistols at the range is even better.
Informed choice baga.

I've been asked this lots of times
38spl j frame , depende na sa kanya what legth of barrel
I prefer snubbie , kasi maikli ang barrel tapos 5 shots lang
Malaki yung chance na maka ilag ako

and no , she doesnt need a semi auto

1911's are probably the easiest to shoot but to master the manual of arms, she will need focused and specialized training.

i agree with makoy's advice of an armscor 1911 in 9mm

when you get her the gun make sure also you double up your running exercise para bumilis kang tumakbo at makapagtago just incase

@Pot, Well we've made arrangements already that i keep the gun when not in the range...mahirap na diba?! hehehe

@Doc, the problem is she would have a hard time with the safeties unlike a production gun...or matinding training na lang muna siguro. CZ kaya? mahal kasi ng stock II eh hehehe...(parang ako may gusto ng stock II eh hehehe )

@fafa A, gusto lumaro kasi kaya no go ang revo but i considered it already and she said
"NO" as in with a big "NO" hehehe

with her budget aside from armscor ano pa kaya pwde? thanks guys!

jj,
bigay mo nalang yung pang altar. para me excuse ka nang buohin yung 1911 mo. or gawin mo nang 9mm yung caspian mo tapos yun nalang yung kanya.

Matigas kasi trigger pull... but my wife prefers it over a pistol due to the simplicity of operation...

isang session lang yAN , no problem at 7 yards

I would never give a girl a semi auto
Ako nga nalilito pa sa trb pag nag jam

Taurus 24/7

brought her to Galleria this afternoon and she handled the following beng bengs....

Taurus 24/7 at first she liked it...then she was given the titanium 24/7 ok ang grip sa kamay nya...but then again medyo she doesn't like the way it looks daw...WOMEN TALAGA OH.... =P

Then we went to twinpines and i told her to choose among the displayed guns...ayaw nya ng M&P, ayaw nya ng S&W sigma, of course no Glocks for her...and then.....lo and behold...the CZ SP-01 tactical and SP-01 phantom...she liked the polymer frame phantom...medyo mataas lang for her budget...but i think she's considering it...but i insist on the tactical para steel frame...to pave the way for a 1911 singelstack or maybe the altar piece...(pag dumating na SVI dito satin with all the new whistles).

She wants to try it though...anybody know a range where they have it for rent so she can test it??? or baka meron gusto mag pa gamit kahit ilang rounds lang....

Guys what's the difference between the Tactical and the shadow na SP-01??

hanap ka ng 2nd hand na jericho

i second the motion, swak sa budget and great pistol too. balagbag lang sa lead heads ang tama.

Tactical-if its attached to anything like tactical pants, tactical vests, etc, its something that mall ninjas will buy.

Tactical=mall ninja

Shadow- are mall ninjas who are so good they lurk behind you in your shadow.

Shadow= extraordinary mall ninja:supergrin:

yung spo1 bigger yung control levers, black novak style rear sight w fiber optic front and no firing pinsafety.

tactical me tritium ata yung sights, has a firing pinsafety and might also have a decocker.

aside from the phantom meron pa ata isang model. and you might want to look at pb's cz po1 for a slightly compact, lighter(aloy frame) and lower priced model.

you might also want to check federal for a better price.

A CZ P-01 would be a good choice. Downside is that it's over your stated budget. A Commander-length Armscor 1911 in 9mm is a good choice. Or a Norinco NZ 85B that Deenoh and Federal Guns sell.

Kabayan have you considered the Norinco CZ clones:cool: I think 16k lang sa twin pines. I know atleast three individuals in our club who uses them for competition.

ok guys so here is the partial list of choices...

1911 single stack that i'm building...pagamit na lang daw (ayoko nga) or....

CZ SP-01 pero ako daw magbayad....(ayoko din) hehehehe

MAPP1 or

a 2nd hand jericho if i can find one...

Ok sana 1911 kaya lang mas ok sana ung wala na modification na pwede gawin kasi baka mamaya nyan mag buo na din ng sti yun eh =P but seriously para wala na masyado hassle kaya production na lang sana.

I vote MAPP1. You can also get a 19 rounder mag from Sir Willie of Armscor for 2k (I think)

If she's comfortable with the 1911 platform, the Armscor commander-length in 9mm would be a good choice as well.
