yea yea I spelled hog hod. har har har. Well it spells "doh" backwards so there

So a I have recently built 3 AR15s for myself and 2 friends. I would like to find out where the best place to go hog hunting is. We would probably have a party of 4 to 6 people and would each have an AR. So the following questions I have are for anyone who has hunted in Texas or is experienced in doing so.

1. What should it cost for a 3 day weekend?

2. Where should we hunt?

3. Should we hire a guide?

4. Hunting lodge with full bar a good idea?

5. Cost per pig per pound?

6. Any companies, people, places that we should avoid?

7. How much meat per hog is keep able/edible?

8. What should the overall per person cost be?

Also feel free to chime in with any other questions or answers to questions that I forgot.

I would suggest the "wild boar magazine". Numerous guides are mention for Tejas.

Call ahead, get their prices, conditions and accomendation and then go from there.

I was hoping to learn "Hod" was a new nickname for illegals.

I was looking at this place in Texas for next year or two to try some hog hunting. I would imagine you could check around and maybe find a farmer or two that would let you hunt for free? Check out this place. www.ybarranch.com Esox357.

My last guided TX hunt, I hunted here

I've hunted private lands in Coleman county and out near zapata.

I hunted at DB Ranch last weekend. Took a nice sow. Good people.

Check craigslist.com in the sporting section. Search for "hog hunt" or "pig hunt" or even "hawg hunt".
