OK, if this ain't a mancave post, I don't know what is- it's about fixin stuff AND guns!

So I have a 75 round AK drum mag that was all loaded and ready to roll. Then I found myself suddenly in need of some quick cash, so I was gonna sell it. I didn't have time to go to the range, or I'd have just blasted off the rounds and emptied it thataway... boy I wish I had made the time.

So I tried unloading it manually, except.... I did it wrong. Apparently you're supposed to work the crank each time you take out a round to maintain the spring tension and what not... I failed to do this, and suddenly there was way too much free space inside the drum, and the top round went and turned sideways on me.

Now it's stuck. I can't get the bastard out no way no how.

Here are some pixtures:

Before:

After:

So what do I do? I've tried turning the dang round with needlenosed pliers to no avail (you can see the case is all scratched up.)

Can I take the drum apart? Is so, are there good directions for doing so somewhere on the web?

Thanks,
D

I'd say take that thingy over there, move it a little to the side, and re-do the tension on the other thingy.

I would try removing spring tension with the crank, and pulling the sideways round with a pair of needle-nose pliers.

If that don't work, I'd go to the AK Files forums.
