Bristol Herald Courier at it again!

The Bristol Herald Courier ran an article about the local Tea Partiers and, while the article could have been a little more sympathetic, the headline really got under my skin!!!


What was the headline, you ask?

"Tea Bagging Protestors Decry Government Spending Policies"

Again with the Tea Bagging references!! And this is in a small town (~50,000 population) newpaper!!! Maybe the copy editor is just aping the major news sources and is innocent enough to NOT know what tea bagging is, or maybe there is a copy editor with an Elementary School mentality giggling in the corner about how clever he is...

Well, after several postings about the poor headline, the BHC changed the on-line headline to the following: "Tea Party Protestors Decry Government Spending Policies", but if you look in the URL, it still says tea-bagging. I guess it is a small victory.
