Hey guys, this isn't really class III I don't think, but I thought this'd be a good place to ask. Me and some of my engineering friends have a couple of ideas about gun design we want to try, does anyone know what we'd have to do to get a liscense to do this? Thanks

You'll need a Type 07 License which is a manufacturing license which cost $150 for 3 years. You can also check here ..

Actually, I believe you can build a firearm for your own personal use (can't sell it) without any license. State and local rules may be different, though.

You can always check with your local ATF branch. Tell them what you are thinking of. They should be able to help. They have always been professional and curteous when I have talked to them.
