I have a very old BHP. It is a ww2 one. I have replaced the recoil spring on it with a 17.5 lb one from wolff. THe guide rod is exceptionally small. It seems to work o.k., but its length really makes re-assembly difficult.

Not having seen another BHP except for mine, is this normal?

I will try to take a picture and upload it, but I tried to do a picture in another post and it failed so we'll see how succesful i am.

That is normal..........with enough practice and patience the re-assembly process will become routine
