I recently received a custom Browning Hi Power. It is a Ron Phillips Browning Hi Power, made on a 1974 C series. From my limited range time, it is laser-like accurate. It definitely lets me know when I fail to uphold my end of the deal. Of course, it was absolutely reliable.

This is the build specs:

Novak sights (black rear, trit. front)
Crown factory Bbl.
Modify factory hammer
Trigger work / spring kit
Polish extractor
Carry bevel
Bevel mag well
Polish ramp and throat Bbl.
Radius trigger face
Remove mag disconnect
Tighten slide to frame
Stipple frontstrap (new style)
Stipple backstrap (new style)
Metaloy frame assy.
Black Tacti-Kote slide assy.
Spegal Coco Bolo grips

Here is the enclosed test target. It measures .52" center to center. It says 15 yards, but I believe Ron told me 20 yards. Still ..........

Some may not realize it, but Ron Phillips has his own shop now. He is formerly of Wilson Combat and Nighthawk Custom.

Great looking Spegels! "New Style" Stippling means ?

Metaloy HC is handsome, did they also do the "Tacti-Kote"?

His Hammer mod. is one of the best have ever seen, especially compared to Novak's which have considered the most functional and aesthetically pleasing otherwise, of the "revolver" style.

Don't care for the "Yost" type at all, FWIW!

"New Style" stippling is Ron's term, not mine. I believe it is referring to the almost wire brush style, as opposed to the pin prick style.

"Tacti-Kote" is a Metaloy product also.

:wow: I knew I shouldn't have looked...now I have yet another builder to try and pick from for my next BHP, but it's win-win for me .

It's also nice in that it does look "continuous" as opposed some others "hand matting", that is a chopped or haphazard pattern, easy to tell by eye, where the work was changed in direction, etc.
