Soooo I haven't been on GlockTalk in a while. A lot has happened since, and now it's time to share.

It's Saturday Morning 2:58am...

I'm in the shower, relaxing and going through my routines. I was tired and had a long day working. I work from home and have too much audio equipment, Electronics, and 24 inch computer monitors to count. I noticed while I was shampooing, headlights of a car that just pulled up in front of my house. I can tell it was an older model car. A hooptie. the lights were dim and yellowish. I wasn't able to identify what kind of car it was at the time due to the shampoo and blurred out window. I can tell though that this car was not parked on my driveway but just on the street off to the side. another car pulls up but this time a little further down the street more in front of my house on the street and parked to the side.

I didn't think much of it. neighbor across the street is young and always has people hanging out at this hour.

I just finished rinsing The shampoo out of my hair and I begin shutting the running water. As stand there naked and just letting the water run off my body, I hear a slam from the front of my house and scuffles. My security alarm is going off but just the low volume high pitch squeal that goes off for 30 secs to give you enough time to disarm the alarm.

My muscles tighten. I quickly hop out the shower and grab my mini mac 11 that is under my bathroom sink mounted with two magnetic holsters.
I remove it off safety and crack the door open and shut the light off.

At this point I hear muffled voices and grunting. Bodies moving in my home with jackets and heavy footwear squeaking on tile. Sounded like 3 of them but I had no head count.

"Get to the back see what's here"
"tay is ready.. f^&k it"
"we got to comp quick, ***** is making noises"

All said in a ghetto accent.

I'm naked standing with a slight crouch around the wall.
Just then i hear

"let Tay in the back. check the back"

Cha Chickk..
I hear a shotgun cock...

"**** ya know what ya doin?"
"yuh"

Chills ran through my back thinking about what that shotgun can do to my naked body. Adrenaline is pumping through my veins at this point. I have 5 Firearms hidden throughout my house.

Mini Mac 11 w/32 rnds - under my bathroom sink
Taurus pt92 w 17 rnds - At bed side
Springfield XD w 16 rnds - in kitchen behind peanut butter.
Glock 19 w 15 rnds - Under Office Desk
Sks w 30 rnds - Spare Bedroom

The nearest phone to me is on my desk down the hall and out in the open area where these bodies are.
No time to call the police anyways, but I'm sure my neighbors are in the process.

I can tell my front door is open, I hear the back door open and more scuffles, shoe squeaks, and low talking. I hear the rain outside pouring.

This is all happening within seconds...

I peep around the corner and they are out of view.. I quickly and quietly slide across the hall to my room and crouch down with the my blacked out extended mac barrel lunging outside the doorway. Using the wall to hide my body.

Just then a body starts light jogging down the path way to straight to my room and bathroom area. It's the man with the shotgun, I see the light from the office area shine onto the barrel of it. He has it pointed up. Stupid move.

He's about 20 ft away walking heavily towards my way. I know he can't see me. Too dark and I'm too low to notice.

bang bang bang,

I let out three shots to the mans chest and neck area. He falls back and grabs his neck and drops the shotgun. My ears are ringing. I hear screams and shots ring out my way. I see another body creep out onto the pass way while he shoots at my bathroom.

House alarm starts going off.

Bang Bang.. two shots brings him down. chest and shoulder hit.
I hear the return bullets tearing through the wood of my door swinging it open and bullets hitting the back end of the room as we exchange shots
Thank god i was low. Nothing close to me but wood chips that are floating down on me at this point

Bang Bang Bang Bang as i see another body licking shots my way with no clue as to what he was hitting. None of my shots made contact on him, He was well aware as to the general directions of the shots are coming from and is taking cover in my kitchen.
I hear the man with the shotty in front of me stir up a little bit and groan.

"Tay shot! tay shot! Get that fire cuz!!"

I ring out more shots towards the kitchen area to get him to make a move.

silence..
No shots are being fired.

Just then the a body runs out pass the office into the kitchen and i hear
cursing and screaming.
They pull the second body i shot from his legs into the kitchen and I then noticed the guy with the shotgun getting pulled from the passway to the kitchen by his arm. Shotgun left behind.

I get on the phone and call 911.
Whispering and not paying attention as to what im saying..just kind of leaving the phone on the hook..
I say "shots fired and gave the operator my address" and left the phone on the floor.
I hear more wet sneakers and boots on the kitchen and out the door.
I hear crying, yelling and heavy breathing. I see a dark stain on my carpet passway from the man with the shotgun
I hear from outside tires and gravel drive off.

I stay in position for what felt a lifetime...
I hear
"Police.. Police!"
and a loud scuffle and take down.. bodys hitting the floor and weapons being drawn. Officers searching the house.

I yell out

"Police.. I'm owner of house.. Help"
Police come my way slowly, guns drawn. Bright lights shine the office area. and back end of house.I turn on my room light and feel a sense of security to be able to put my hands up. I inspect my body for damages. They take me down and kick my mac aside.

I'm the one who called 911. I was being shot at!"
officer responds
"We're getting you out of here for now."

I get escorted and we jog to the outside. A blanket gets thrown around my naked, wet, and cold body. there must of been 15 squad cars outside..

I'm shaking from all the adrenaline, As I'm seated in the back of the cop car. I think...
Holy ****... WTF just happened and Why? Who were those guys..

I see my neighbors in the distance..I feel like I'm the bad guy..I see my neighbors looking my way...I'm wet still..Cold..and it's feel good outside..warm after rain humidity..

After what felt like like an hours. sunlight was coming up.. The officers started dispersing..
They caught the 4 men at the hospital with different clothes on. One died. One seriously wounded.. They were drug dealers who raided my house because they thought it was a drug house or that someone lived in it before me that was heavy in drug business. I have my windows boarded up for hurricane season. I'm sure that didn't help deter them. The word "Fire" that one of the gunmen yelled out is slang for AK47. that would of been interesting. They left it in my office.

When i get let out the cop car. My neighbor gave the officer clothes for me to put on..some cargo shorts..they were tight.. I was relieved.
As i stand up for the first time in a long time..my heart pumps fast,
just as the medic starts walking my way..I black out..

I wake up in the back of an parked ambulance, family surrounded me..I felt relieved..

I've moved out of that house since then..safer place..
Lots of damage was done to my old house, My car somehow had a huge scratch on it..prob from one of the gunmen or officers..I put holes in my fridge when i was trying to get the gunmen to make a move. 52 inch TV was shot, multiple computer monitors. walls with holes.
doors with holes.....my dresser..
but at least no holes in me.

What a day....

Howdy,

Good thing you are ok.

When and where did this take place?

Gee this should have made the local papers and the local news too. How about a link?

Thanks for your concern.
Sorry about some of the typos and inconsistencies. I'm not a writer of any sort :)
To clear up some things.... I had my cell in the bedroom that I called 911 from.
When the cops entered my house the take down was multiple doors opening and bodies entering my house with a BOOM, scuffles, and squeaky shoes.....

A little too real.
And whats funny is people always asked my why I needed so many guns.. Well, that's why. Spread throughout the house for what should never happen..

If this is a real story, I am very glad that it came out the way it did.

But I have to wonder about some things. Spectacular and heroic gun fight, and no news coverage posted over 24 hours later. Started at 2:58 AM - rather precise memory, not "about 3:00 AM." The exact position of two cars relative to the house and each other are correctly discerned by their headlights coming through windows, presumably with the drapes closed since OP is still in the shower. Lots of amazing detail, then the police wrap up the investigation before dawn, without even taking the victim/hero to the station. The BGs change clothes before going to the hospital, but are still together, and the police know pretty much everything about motive and such. And by evening, our guy has been released from medical care and moved out of a house that one would suspect is, as the site of a fatal shooting, being minutely examined and processed for evidence.

If this is a real story, I am very glad that it came out the way it did. I would advise OP to have a lawyer, and for all readers to never, never, never talk about a shooting to anyone without legal advice, let alone post their account on the internet for everyone - police, prosecutors, those who may be bent on revenge - to read.

If you read this as most of us did, you would connect the dots and realize he is saying this happened since the LAST TIME he posted on GT - which was back in May, and he has moved since.

I don't know the guy from adam. What would his motivation be for posting a big fat lie on the web, after not posting since May 25th?

Thank you for pointing that out - I had not picked up on that. I would edit my post, but it would make it confusing to read your response later, so I will let my gaff remain obvious and offer an apology for misreading that.

Hopefully OP engaged an attorney; if so, that would have been a wonderful thing to have included in his discussion of his case, and something even to emphasize as a teaching point. Criminal and civil liability can be an issue for years, so talking in such detail even a few months later would seem to be legally unwise.

My best wishes go to you and OP, in any event.

Also, he may live in a state where he is protected from civil action if his actions were found to be in self defense.

To add, I do not know of ANY STATE, where successful civil action has been brought against the lawful owner of the dwelling, where aggressors used, or attempted to use deadly force in the commission of a felony.

If you have ever seen this, I would be interested to see such a reference....not a challenge of any sort, I am genuinely curious to see where/if this has ever transpired.

Maybe they build houses differently in Jamaica, but all the ones I have been in here in the US ( and I have been in a lot) you can't see out the front of your house and down the street while in the shower. And from his description sounds like his house os of the standard pattern, (bathroom in the hallway)

I remove it off safety and crack the door open and shut the light off.
The nearest phone to me is on my desk down the hall and out in the open area where these bodies are.

And since they parked on the street parallel to the house, the headlights would not have been shining on the house.

The cops arrive at the scene of a shootout and find him next to a mini mac 11 and don't cuff him? ( cuffing everyone until who is who is sorted out is pretty standard procedure.)

Then he claims he sits in the back of a squad car for over two hours ( at least, since by his own claim the incident began at or around 2:58 and it is dawn when he gets out of the back of the patrol car.) at the scene before being let out of the back of the car and walked over to an ambulance that apparently has been sitting on scene for over two hours?

I was going to leave this one and see if anyone picked up on it, but what the heck might as well post it.

I have my windows boarded up for hurricane season.

incredible headlights that car had, even though they were "dim" according to the OP they were able to penetrate the boards over his windows even though they were not even shining directly on the house since the car was parked on the street parallel to his house.

I want me some of these "dim"lights for my vehicles.

On second thought, just give me the OP's X ray vision that allowed him to see thru he boards over the wndows and see out the front of his house and even down the street.

Great story... You should become a Fiction writer... Funny though, I can't find ANYTHING about it in the news (and I would certainly think THAT would make news).

When you take another persons life (or persons), whether it be in self defense or not, It is the ABSOLUTE last thing you would EVER want to talk about (especially online).

Good story though... I enjoyed it.

My house was built in 2004. The master bathroom is over the garage (entirely). From my bathroom windows I (hopefully obviously) see the driveway all the way out to the street, and the street in one direction from my driveway.

I don't know why you are attempting to paint me in a corner in defense of the OP.

I have lived in a home that had the "warped" glass window in the shower. The warped style glass allowed light in, but no distinguishing features could be seen from the outside thereby keeping anyone from being able to see you naked.

Not saying this story isn't fiction, just providing a possible explanation for one of the things being questioned.

Was your bathroom window facing the front of the house? and if you noticed, he said the reason for him being unable to tell the make of the car was the shampoo and the blurred out window. ( I am guessing condensation) apparently the board over the window was not a problem.

As a matter of fact, no. The window faced the back yard. I'm unsure why anyone would build a home with a bathroom window in the shower stall that would face the front/street...but I guess it's possible.

1. I aint taking issues or sides one way or another. Is the OP FOS? Possible.
Could his story be factual? Possible.

Being that we are both hurricane experts (you south of Mason-Dixie, me Jamaica) MOST FOLKS do not board up bathroom windows - especially the ones which are usually 1/4 the size of other house windows. Most bathroom windows I have seen on 1st floors are usually those 15" x 36" units, as as someone else said - frosted.

Either which way, I was planning to slowly tease more info out of the OP. :tongueout:

I don't believe this story.. in my town(California) three men were hired for murder because of money issues in a nice part of town, the invaders ran off while one was killed with a shotgun. Only one man was armed. Made the news the very next morning.

I wondered the same, also been wondering when he had the time to take that camera phone looking shot of one of the intruders weapons "the fire" (AK-47)?

The Mac-11, with magnetically attached mags kinda set of an alarm on my end. Not that is is not a feasible set up.. but I'd like to think someone with that much presence of mind in terms of having firearms throughout their dwelling would have something a little more corrosion resistant in there bathroom. few more details.

I peep around the corner and they are out of view.. I quickly and quietly slide across the hall to my room and crouch down with the my blacked out extended mac barrel lunging outside the doorway. Using the wall to hide my body.

clearly a one story dwelling and notice by is own words the bathroom is in a hallway across from his room.

Anybody have hallways in the front of their house containing a bathroom and bedrooms? There is no way the window of this bathroom is facing the front of the house where he could see someone parking in front of his house, frosted windows or boards aside.

I know he can't see me. Too dark and I'm too low to notice

it's to dark for the guy to see him, but.....he can clearly see where he shoots the guy and even see's him clutching his throat.

I let out three shots to the mans chest and neck area. He falls back and grabs his neck and drops the shotgun.

Bang Bang.. two shots brings him down. chest and shoulder hit.

This dude is simply amazing, I have been in shootings in low light conditions and damned if I could tell where I hit them as soon as I shot.

and it doesn't stop there,

My ears are ringing.

yet he can hear the sound of bullets tearing thru his door.

I hear the return bullets tearing through the wood of my door

after all the shots fired in an enclosed space he can still hear heavy breathing, and even hear tires and gravel outside as they drive off.

heavy breathing. I see a dark stain on my carpet passway from the man with the shotgun
I hear from outside tires and gravel drive off.

Simply amazing, frankly after shots fired in an enclosed space I was never able to hear much at all for a while.

Well, Like I said..
I'm not a writer... and as stated here before; This was a while back ago since i last been on here.
I'm currently undergoing legal action. As for the time of the incident, I have a little alarm clock radio in the bathroom that i use for music. I just remember the looking at the time.
I have a little window with no curtains facing the road. The window is small and has a blurry effect to it so nobody can see details inside.
Everything that i stated has already been stated in my report and case.
As for a castle doctrine. Yes there is one.
The cops did take me down as stated in my story. and i didn't mention it but i was handcuffed with a heavy duty zip tie.

As for the aftermath. We were there for Hours. Daylight was out already for a while.I passed out at a certain point in time. I do not know when the ambulance arrived and I do not know how long i was in the squad car. I did not state 2 hours.
Give me a break. I'm not looking to be a hero. Just wanted to share. I'm blessed.

I'm currently undergoing legal action.

You are undergoing legal action and posting details on the internet?

OOOOK.

I have a little window with no curtains facing the road. The window is small and has a blurry effect to it so nobody can see details inside.

And this window is in your bathroom, in a hallway, across from your bedroom, in the front of your house? you clearly stated you were in the shower shampooing wen you saw this.

And BTW, those windows work both ways, if you can't see details inside, you can't see details outside either.

As for the aftermath. We were there for Hours. Daylight was out already for a while.I passed out at a certain point in time. I do not know when the ambulance arrived and I do not know how long i was in the squad car.

According to your OP, you were put in the squad car, then it was daylight, then you walked to the ambulance and passed out. now you are saying that you passed out in back of the squad car, and apparently the cops left you like that until daylight? hmmmmm, I would have thought they would have wanted to question you, and if you passed out I would have thought they would have called an ambulance immediately.

Since you are here, perhaps you can clear up a confusing point.

first you say.

I hear
"Police.. Police!"
and a loud scuffle and take down.. bodys hitting the floor and weapons being drawn. Officers searching the house.

Who was being taken down? and whose bodies were hitting the floor?

Because you said you heard them leave in a car and that later the 4 bG's were caught at a hospital.

They caught the 4 men at the hospital with different clothes on. One died. One seriously wounded..

The word "Fire" that one of the gunmen yelled out is slang for AK47. that would of been interesting. They left it in my office.

Was the shampoo tactical?

Nope:

...I wasn't able to identify what kind of car it was at the time due to the shampoo...

Tactical shampoo would allow for visibility while still leaving a smooth shine and scalp revitalization...

This shampoo left blurry eyes. I'll put it as semi-tactical since he was still able to call his shots a few minutes after getting out of the shower without drying off...

Well, I am glad you are enrolled in the Creative Writing class at the local college, but it would definitely help your style and legibility if you took English 101 and 102 to learn composition, punctutation, and other issues such as constantly referring to yourself as "I" throughout the narrative.

Keep on with the effort and even though it is early in the semester, stick with it and soon your fiction will be far more polished.

Don't forget to do accurate research so that your characters become more believable. Simple minor errors in your work, such as the police failing to identify you in a realistic manner by taking your word at it, never being interviewed by criminal investigators, no walk through of the scene, and others; make the story completely unbelievable at this point.

Keep writing and working for that passing grade in class!

I'd love to see a .pdf copy of the police incident report, since they can easily be posted online. After all, they are a public record and nothing in them can be withheld from the criminal defense attorneys or the civil attorneys hired by the plaintiffs.

Again, not in this person's defense, but there is "public" and there is "hanging your ass out in public". I'd be satisfied with just a brief bit of info on which state, and the date when this occurred.

And again, I would too like to see a cut n dried (civil) case where someone attempted to rob someone else using deadly force, broke into their dwelling, engaged in a shootout, and brought a suit against the lawful occupant of the dwelling.

Yeah, I've seen a case (NYC) where some guy robbed a granny, she put a round in his elbow, and now he's suing saying it wasn't him...but I have yet to see any real civil cases as outlined by me.

There are a bunch of inconsistencies in the OP's narration of what transpired, I chalk that up to how real life works. I eagerly await an update from the OP with the state and the date when this occurred.

There is nothing in a LE report that is hidden from attorneys of either side [civil or criminal], other than SSN, DOB, addresses, and some related personal information. Anything having to do with an incident is free and clear information to the attorneys.

The person that posted this 'incident' is not some police officer or military combatant who has been involved in hundreds of traumatic incidents or shootouts. Anyone who has not been in a large number of gunfights is going to recall the relevant facts of them. I certainly do of mine. He cannot claim a recall deficit, unless he has a historic and significant brain injury.

There are so many holes in this "incident", it looks like a downrange skeethouse at an old clay sports center.

My response has very little to do with the incident as reported by the OP.
If you've ever been knee-deep in a serious police investigation, or sat on a grand jury, or sat thru a trial, you know just how nebulous "the truth" is.

There really is no such thing as "absolute truth", it's all a matter of perspective. This is the primary reason why much of our legal language is littered with "reasonable man", "reasonable fear", "reasonable doubt".

If the Op span a web, shame on him, but I suspect he will be back with enough information to clear the air.

Although, I wonder why he did not post this in GNG or Carry Issues, which see WAY MORE traffic than Tactics and Training. :)

We'll ask whatever is appropriate. There are some obvious holes in the story. IF its real, fine its real, and we'll absorb the experience. If not, some questions will go unanswered. Its not for you to say who can ask questions.

A link to a local news story would be fine, either a newspaper or tv station's online link. The most helpful thng would be to know what neighborhood its in so none of us move there by mistake.

clearly a one story dwelling and notice by is own words the bathroom is in a hallway across from his room.

Anybody have hallways in the front of their house containing a bathroom and bedrooms? There is no way the window of this bathroom is facing the front of the house where he could see someone parking in front of his house, frosted windows or boards aside.

it's to dark for the guy to see him, but.....he can clearly see where he shoots the guy and even see's him clutching his throat.

This dude is simply amazing, I have been in shootings in low light conditions and damned if I could tell where I hit them as soon as I shot.

and it doesn't stop there,

yet he can hear the sound of bullets tearing thru his door.

after all the shots fired in an enclosed space he can still hear heavy breathing, and even hear tires and gravel outside as they drive off.

Simply amazing, frankly after shots fired in an enclosed space I was never able to hear much at all for a while.

There is only one explanation, he is a highly trained ninja!!

My sister's house, built in the mid 1950's (in Colorado), has the bathroom down the hall, on the front of the house, bathroom window overlooking the street. One story house. (One of the reasons I would not like to live in her house). Also a bedroom facing the street, as well as two bedrooms across the hall, with windows facing the backyard. From her shower, you can look out the window, into the street (though she had non-frosted glass until last year).

The bedroom across the hall from the bathroom would afford a view of the kitchen, living room, etc, through the crack in the door, and enough windows that light from the moon would make things visible...... UNLESS they were boarded up, as the OP's were......

Still waiting for the news link.

A relatively minor point, but there is no such thing as a window too small to board up in a hurricane. Smaller windows are smaller targets for flying debris, true, but because of a combination of decreased flexibility and increased force concentration, they actually break and/or blow out of their frames with less wind force than larger windows.

The danger of a hurricane is not "built up pressure inside the house" it is in the winds getting in the house, when that happens you can kiss your roof goodbye.

When the storm comes from the south and the eye passes over you the winds return this time from the north.

So the officers enter a house in which shots have been fired, there is a loud scuffle and takedown with bodies hitting the floor, and THEN the officers decide they might need to draw their weapons...

Then I guess the suspects unarrested themselves and were recaptured at the hospital later.

Um, yea, OK.

I hope that was a joke, and please don't anyone take that as legitimate advice if you are new to hurricane preparedness.

Good point on the flooring. Where I used to work there was a woman who had a break-in at her house. The guy bled to death after cutting himself on the window he crashed through. She had wood floors.

She had to have the floors ripped out and replaced because of the blood.

Just curious, but are you talking about a bathroom at the end of a hallway?

Nope. Middle of the house, facing the street. In fact my other sister has a house with a nearly identical floor plan. Also in Colorado. the end of the hallway is where the linen closet is.

Weird, ugly, and no privacy (imo), but they made a lot of them like that back then, apparently.

Not addressing the OP credibility without additional facts to back it up, I wanted to comment on the alarm system usage.

You know in those Brinks or ADT commercials, the alarm always goes off IMMEDIATELY after a door gets kicked in. That means the entry delay is 0 (alarm with no delay). I'm not sure how much that is used in practice though.

That's actually not a bad tactic to use with an alarm system. Why give the bad guys time to get in and work inside your house while it "counts down" before alarming.

Setting your alarm system zones to "no delay" is a good strategy. Of course, that means using a keyfob to disarm (when away), but still.

I use no delay in all zones, I'm not giving the bad guys a single second.

another okie
09-22-2009, 17:21
My perimeter alarm when i am in the house is zero delay. The entry when i set it and leave has a low beep to give you time to shut it off.

I just installed one of these on both of my doors:

I used 4 inch wood screws to go deep into the frame. 5 feet of steel. Much better than my old crappy small strike plate with tiny screws.

Of course, now I have to look at my lock to see how "bump proof" is is. Any recommendations?

Okay, admittedly I'm late to this thread. And as our resident Columbo (ie, Dragoon) has pointed out, there are numerous "discrepencies" in TTG's story. Obviously complete fabrication. Unless I missed them posted in the previous 8 pages, here are a few more discrepencies as of yet not mentioned:

1. Crime scene photos. When I was a cop, I don't ever recall giving a victim copies of photos of the crime scene/evidence. In fact, such a thing could compromise any investigation and would most certainly be a no-no at almost any LE agency. And if he DID happen to get them somehow, it is funny how they happen to be of the exact guns he owns. Where are the pics of the blood puddle/trails from "'Tay" being shot? Or of the bullet holes in the fridge or TV or bedroom door?

2. When Dragoon called the OP on posting in another thread that he owned a Norinco AK-47, the OP immediately replied that the AK in the "crime scene" photos was a Romanian model, NOT a Norinco. I mean, c'mon. After just going through such a life altering ordeal (so much so, that he later passed out from all the excitement), how many of us would as "Excuse me officer, was that AK a Russian, ChiCom, DDR or Romanian model?"

I know the OP hasn't posted or logged on a in a few months. It would be interesting to check his IP and see if he has a different Username. I'd bet he's prowling around this thread, just to see what people are saying.

Before this thread is locked, I can't be the only one thoroughly disturbed that in this guy's hero shoot out fantasy, he chooses to be naked during the whole ordeal. I'm no psychologist, but one may think there may be some sort of sick underlying sexual meaning behind why he is nude mowing down bad guys with a sub-machine gun in this story.

You mean you should be wearing clothes in a gunfight!...who knew???

Good stuff - reminds me of the only time I ever fired while having my pants down. This is a true story, however.

I was fishing out of my kayak at a location near Baton Rouge called Alligator Bayou - early summer (gator mating season). I was paddling down a long man made canal about 20 feet across with marsh grass on either bank.

I really needed to piss, so I ran my yak up into the grass to stabilize it so I could get on my knees to piss over the side of my yak (I should have inspected my bathroom better).

I was kneeling taking a piss when I see some grass move about 3 feet in front of me. Next I heard a hiss and spotted a huge gator (at least 7 feet, but at the time I would have sworn he was 15 feet long) lying with his body about half above the water line - he had his mouth open and WAS NOT HAPPY I WAS THERE!!

He took an aggressive posture and was hissing - this was no joke!! It was mating season they had been pretty aggressive in the weeks leading up to this event.

With my pecker still in my left hand I slowly unholstered my G19 and without hesitation began firing shots about a foot to the side of the gator. He thankfully made a hasty retreat.

After I coaxed my pecker back out - I finished peeing and NEVER EVER stop in the marsh grass of Alligator Bayou (or any LA bayou) to relieve myself.

What a way to go - yanked overboard by your cock - close call, still have nightmares.

That season (last year) I had no less than 5 scary run ins with aggressive gators.

I took time and read all this. The comment about the gun in the bed pan cracked me up! If we had all these posts together it would be a great story. The gun in the crap made me think of a video interview I saw the other day about two men in a coffee shop talking about giving some dynamite to a man who got tired of having his septic tank pump pumped out and wanted to save money. You can see where this is going, he put about six sticks of it down his septic tank, he wanted to just crack the container so it would leak out the cracks and he wouldn't have to pay as often. After they backed down the road to watch it happen, it rained crap and the guys wife came out of the kitchen where she was washing dishes, covered in crap with a knife after them. It blew off all the toilets and the house was covered in crap, even the roof.

Man... way to survive!!!!! And people wonder why I keep a 33 round mag ready to rock... This is why. Gang violence. May you continue to be blessed, and I hope you sleep O.k. at night. That sort of action can shake up the old gray matter for years to come, but you know you did what you were supposed to do. As I like to say when I hear a story like this from someone... "Good to see you." (alive)

no, mine got shot up in the al queda attack, 16 bg's, i had to beat 4 of them down with the towel rack before getting to my m4 with the m203 attached that i keep in the freezer under the popsicles. It was pitch dark but they gave themselves away shouting "allah akbar" and i used echo location to nail them.:supergrin:

Good point on the flooring. Where I used to work there was a woman who had a break-in at her house. The guy bled to death after cutting himself on the window he crashed through. She had wood floors.

She had to have the floors ripped out and replaced because of the blood.

Why didn't she just let her dog lick it up?:tongueout:

dude, epic thread is epic.

Did I ever tell you guys about the time two tactical bears broke into my house?

Alfred10 and I fought them off, but it wasn't easy. I was upstairs showering, but luckily I had my mac 10 that has 2 barrels attached, that could fire off .308 and 10mm at the same time. I decided to go with that weapon cause I made a bunch of threads asking what caliber for bear and that's the two calibers people recommended me.

I'll post the news links later.

I know there is a season and you need tags etc. (depending on location) BUT - you fired warning shots at a 7' gator that had his eyes on your unit?!?! I'm not sure what the fine would have been had you been caught but I might have taken it AND the public urination charge as well!!! :wow:
