Hey all:wavey:
I'm looking to buy my first mechanical watch and the Invicta 8926 leading the pack at the moment. Does anyone have one? How accurately does it keep time? Is it suited for some light water sports, ie snorkeling, canoeing etc?

Thanks for the help and advice, I just know nothing about "big boy watches."

Ok, well I went ahead and bought it. I've had it for two days and I've noticed that it gains about a min every couple of hours. Is this normal for an Automatic? Will it "break in" and correct itself?

i dont have an invicta but i do have 2 automatic watches. they do gain/lose time but a minute every few hours seems like lot.

I would expect a couple or few minutes a week at that level watch.

Highwayman-- a minute every coupleof hours is way too much. I assume the movement is an ETA 284. I would think 10 seconds a day would be on the bad side of what is to be expected.

WHere did you buy this watch? DO they have a watch repairman?

Most automatics do have a break in period but a minute every few hours is much too fast.

True, I think that a break in period may settle a watch down 5 or so seconds, not 12 minutes.

My guess it it is either very poorly regulated or magnetized.
