View Full Version : Well...I'm in trouble...
Caught the BHP bug around the beginning of the year. Ended up picking up a 9mm Practical for about $600 and sending it immediately off to Ted and Jason at Heirloom near the end of February. Was quoted 10-12 months...
...Ted called on Friday...I should have it in 2-3 weeks.
So. Psyched.

The BHP is the only pistol model that I want to have two of -- slightly/somewhat different, of course. Am constantly on the lookout for el Segundo.....

Off to shoot it...Holy crap, that's beautifull! Is that a product of Heirloom Precision?
Bac has been suggesting I get a BHP, and your photos have pushed me over the edge. :)

It sure is. It's the standard SRT conversion, with the trigger travel reduction, hard chrome, and checkering added on. Total for the work and shipping back to me was $2,540...only took eight months.
My suggestions:
-If you send one to Heirloom, get the trigger travel reduction.
-If you think that there is ANY chance of having it worked over, buy a Practical or some other model with the S/N on the side of the frame instead of the front of the grip. You can't have the fronstrap checkered with a standard BHP b/c of the location of the S/N.

It took Dan Wesson that long to make a somewhat custom Valor for me.

Heirloom Precision quotes 10-12 months at time of order. I read a review on another forum right before I sent my gun in where the guy had waited eight months, so I was hopeful. It went out on 02/27, so it will be just a week short of eight months.

I think that is the prettiest Hi Power I've ever seen.
Well, I shot it Sunday and today...maybe 300 rounds total.
It's completely unbelievable.
Best accuracy that I could choke out of it was 2" with a five shot group off hand standing at 25 yards. Three rounds touching in a vertical stack and the other two about an inch apart vertically and just a bit left of the first three.
I was also consistenly able to hit a standard IPSC silouhette steel target at 25 yards with five round groups fired pretty much as fast as I could pull the trigger.
It really is a work of art. I'm probably going to start looking for a .40 Practical so that I can have a twin made to eat up the pile of .40 ammunition that I have.
If you're thinking of sending one off to Heirloom, just do it.

Damn, this is pushing me over, lol. I have a BHP that will not be touched, but ever since I first saw the Heirloom Precision Website I have wanted to save and send them one. Was starting to plan on buying a HP early next year to send some where, that looks GREAT!
Very nice & sweet without all the gawdy gizmos.
