I think I'm allowed to have tracer ammo here :whistling:

I've never shot anything with tracers, so what can I expect from these? Buddy said that they take about 100 yards to light and burn for 500 yards or so.

He also said that the tip is just painted green and these actually light from the rear of the bullet? :dunno:

I also had a vendor try to convince me that there is no such thing as "non-corrosive" x39. It does not exist and never has.

Then I asked a different guy what kind of pistol barrel he had in his display case. He pulls it out, flips it over and says "S&W 9mm". I said, "OK, what model gun does it fit in?", he says "Ummmm....it should be stamped on there..........ummmmm.....oh, here......It's for a S&W Parabellum".

****ing Canadians.

What do they think they're gonna be doing with 7.62x39 at 500 yards?:rofl:

Betcha they light inside 100 yards...

And yes, the stuff that burns is basically in a cavity in the back of the bullet.

Pics won't be good enough.... we want video.

Well...

I shot 5 rounds today. I couldn't see them during flight (my buddy could), but my eye sight is **** to begin with, so I wasn't surprised.

I shot 3 at a big dirt hill about 400 meters away and didn't see the bullet at all, but when it hit the dirt, I saw a puff of dust and the incendiary burning a bright red.

Then I shot the other 2 at the side of a mountain +- 2 miles awayand didn't see those either, but my buddy claimed to have seen the arc of the bullet.

It was kind of neat, actually. I'll have to find a safe place to fire some off during the night.
