Marikina has been hit really bad with some residents being swept away by the flow of the river. Rescue workers apparently not sufficient in equipment with alot of rubber boats not having engines.
Bulacan has also seen floods that has submerged the whole first floor!
Did govt declare state of calamity or something now, I think businesses and companies may not be able to open business as usual by Monday given the state of things. Banks will most probably remain closed in most areas.

Some updates I got, Pateros was the same, the entire first floor, submerged. Someone told me that a wall near FEU(?) collapsed and all cars parked near it was swept away to the river.
I think its not only the rainfall but the dam has reached critical level that it had to release water in the night, which caught several residents unaware. I heard that it has reached critical level once more and must again open the flood gates.
The Pasig area could not open the flood waters as if they do, the Presidential palace, Malacanang would be severely flooded, so that is why officials are controlling this water point.

Thanks Bro, the situation is dire.
Was all of these floods caused by rainfall or by the surrounding dams being opened drastically?

Reports in the news says rainfall was equivalent to a month's worth, but all fell within a couple of days. The northern part (Pampanga, Bulacan) had lots of rainfall but by saturday was all clear and the waters had not risen that significantly. Afterwhich there was an alert that the dams was in its critical point necessitating to open the flood gates, which it did at night. Unfortunately most of residents had no power (brown out) and some without portable radios would not have heard the alert therefore being ill-prepared for the abrupt rise in water when there is no more rainfall.
Other areas however like Pasig, Marikina had continuous rainfall. No one suspected that floodwaters would reach this high

For those who are in the affected area with no lights and water.. time to prepare.. there might be predators lurking within your community.
I had an experience a few years back when a strong typhoon hit our city. Due to the heavy rain our wall came down and We didn't have any electricity for one week. a few days after the typhoon A group of people tried to enter the house thru the garden. thank God I had my shotgun with me.
its getting dark now.. 620pm and its time to LOCK AND LOAD

Nakikiramay po ako sa mga nasalanta sa inyo. Grabe Ondoy. Buti na lang Friday night ang uwi ko galing Korea, kung ginawa ko pala na Saturday stranded ako.
Stay safe guys.
If you must share what you have be very vigilant.
i heard that angat and ipo dams released water, they should have the foresight to release water earlier in order to avoid a sudden release of water! i doubt if rains can do this much damage, i think, the water in the damns were are critical level thats why they released a lot resulting in the water "crossing" nlex out to sea, in the process, flooding the entire METRO...

if bayani and teodoro teams up i'd think that the MMDA is conspiring with the NDCC to win next years election.

Grabe! Never thought something like this, metro-wide, can happen. Lived in San Juan and Mandaluyong for bit of time and my area floods pag malakas ulan. Lost items due to water-damage, so I feel the pain. :( Total hassle talaga.
Passed by SCTEX kagabi
Very eerie

My father lost over Php 2M in livelihood when his fishponds went underwater
confirmed reports that three of our employees houses were submerged neck deep.
DAMN!! Our house was under more than 5 feet of water and we are more than 6 feet higher than road level. I felt sooooo sorry for ourselves during and after the flooding. BUT slowly things are returning to normal. Rifle, pistol and all ammo are at the ready since Sat because the perimeter of our subd collapsed.
Get ready guys there is another slow one coming in within the week - I just hope it dissipates.
