View Full Version : Toyota Recalls 3.8 Million Vehicles
I hope factory floor mats of Toyota vehicles in the Philippines are not the same as the ones in the US:
the driver of the car that had its gas pedal stuck had time to call 911 but not enough sense to put in neutral or just step on the clutch while braking?
its the US land of the crapmatic transmission there's no cluch
He could have disengaged the transmission and placed it in neutral. That way, he wouldn't have lost the power assist on the brakes and steering.
However, there are a lot of drivers that don't know how their vehicles work. Basta may gas lang, okay.
I have a 2005 Tacoma with factory floor mats. After driving my truck for several months I noticed that the front mats began to curl up and would sometimes come in contact with the accelerator pedal.
I took the floor mats out and replaced them with factory heavy duty rubber mats that I liked better anyway.
Guess I am not stupid enough to wait for a recall.
