CZ SP01 Shadow details [Archive]

Anyone own the Shadow model? Want your opinions. Is it legal for IDPA? How does it stack up to other similar / popular pistols? What price is good for this model?

I own a Glock 22 (among others), that gives me bad slide bite evertime I shoot (I have large hands). I like choking up as high as I can to the barrel axis to control recoil...

I've heard that the CZ's allow for a high grip, but has the protection of a beavertail-styled tang which would be great for me.

CZs are awesome guns, and the Shadow is one of the best. Its incredibly accurate out of the box.
Check out CZs website for all the specs and approx. price. Should be cheaper through a dealer though.

I only have experience with the Shadow Custom from Ghost Products. Check their prices on all CZ pistols at www.ghostholsters.com .
I believe the Shadow is IDPA legal.

I just bought a Shadow and it's a great gun. Fits my hand perfectly, nice and heavy so it soaks up recoil and the trigger is great. On my first trip to the range, I was burning one big hole in the center of the target, and shooting groups that I've never been able to do with my Glocks.

This is my first CZ and I'm very impressed.

I bought it from CZCustom for $800 plus shipping and transfer fee. Came with 3 mags.

About to Score a Shadow, 5 mags, blade tech holster, and 4 mag pouches for $900, shipping included, who says you can't fine a good deal these days.
