Anybody do basic there. What was the names of those three hills on the 20 mile road march. Kinda like a Karma thing the same place my dad went for OCS. He served under Gen Patton when he was a Capt in WWII.

Heart break, agony, and misery for sure.
Heartbreak, Agony and Misery.
The hills in between bore passing epithets seldom worthy of the memorable three.

I guess it was Heartbrake that real steep one and it was raining and one poor guy slipped and we watched him roll all the way down. I remember seeing that green chem light in his helmet doing arcs while he was rolling. Funny now.

Yup, our CIs made it a point to show us where he racked himself...then proceded to take bets on who in our Troop would do the same...
in 1965 at Ft. Knox
it was Misery and Agony hills going to the rifle range. from the barracks of BCT (basic combat training..... boot camp is for Marines!) the Gas chambers were on the right side marching to the rifle ranges.
Today, (chuckle chuckle PC BS) they call the gas chambers "gas mask familiarization course". I was at a cavalry reunion there recently and just about fell out of my vehicle laughing.

I don't know how anyone could forget those if you ran them in basic.

I did 16 weeks of AIT there, I loved that place, even all of the ruck marches. I'm from up here in the hills anyhow so walking, marching over hills and through valleys is second nature to me. Fort Knox was awesome in 02'.
