Here's a couple of my latest aquisitions. 1909 Argentines,
made in 1912, all matching, unfired, not proofed, consecutive
serial #'s. I consider them her's and her's.

SG

Based on the fact that lots of 1909's were cut up for sporters, and, these two are consecutive #'s and unfired, I would expect these would appreciate nicely. Don't split them up. If you don't mind how much was the damage? BTW these are the smoothest Mausers and impecable quality. And 30-06 length actions LOL

Holy Smokes Silent_Runner and Lone_Wolfe, those are great!!
I had range duty today, so I've looked at guns all day, but the better
variety is right here. I really enjoy an eclectic collection.

I don't know why, but I'm wanting a .357 Revolver.

If you two, Wrench, and I went shooting we would have to pack lunch.

I'll add a pic I think of as carry plastic, and some Browning Hi Powers.

SG

You should get a 357 revolver if you want one.

SR, LW,

That is a very impressive collection.
Have you shot the Buckmark and the SW 41 consecutively?
I need a .22. I sold my Ruger the other day. Every time
I touched it, it pinched me somewhere, either leaving blood
or a blood blister.

I've never had a cat. Do they all like guns? I sure like the one
with the striped tail.

SR, I'm in Minnesota. However, I don't work June, July, and August.

The SW 19, is beautiful. Is that a .357?

I understand that Wolfe isn't ready to shoot yet, but I'm thinking
(hoping), that with time, she will change her mind.
Thanks, for sharing the pics. I hadn't realized that you were into
long guns.

Wrench loves long guns. Wrench are you going to post any pics?

SG

I shot the 41 a while back but have never shot the Browning. The 41 is very nice. It aimed itself at the target.

I didn't know I was into long guns either until I received this collection. There are several I here that I have no pictures of. One is a new looking Winchester 3030 with a piece of paper taped around the barrel that states it was made in 1941. It came wrapped in a silicone sock and then in a case which makes me think it may be a bit valuable. I also got a pair of old military looking rifles that look like your Argentina guns. I was told they are Swedish. I wish I has a picture. Do you know anything about those? I have about 40 long guns altogether now.

The cats belong to Wolfe. Or at least they used to. They apparently have been stolen but you may want to ask her about that. The one you mentioned is an attention deprived fat baby. She probably cares nothing for guns but if Wolfe had the camera in her hand that cat had to be there. Both cats are as friendly as could be and would have spent thier entire lives in Wolfe's lap if that were possible. My cat is nice but not quite so attentive. You really should get a cat. They are great pets.

The model 19's are 357 caliber. There are two different ones here. The 27 is also a 357. I agree that Wrench and other ladies here need to post up some guns. I would rather not be so alone here.

sawgrass what Ruger did you sell? I have a Competition Target and another .22 that has a 10" barrel here and was wondering if they might be the same kind.

SR,
I sold a stainless, fluted barrel, Hunter Mark III.
I'm trying to decide if I want a conversion kit on a 1911,
a Beretta 87, Beretta 89, or the SW 41.

sawgrass both of my Ruger .22's say MkII on them so I would assume they are older. Can we see pictures of your newest acquisition?

Just so you know Wolfe will not likely be back in this thread. She got rid of her guns and lost interest. And even if she wants to her internet connection is far too slow to let her load this page with so many pictures. She told me it takes 2 to 6 hours to load the Caturday thread and that has less pictures per page.

DustyJacket that Ruger looks nice. How does your wife like the shorter barrel?

DustyJacket
11-26-2009, 09:00
She's OK with it. Previous to this she had a MKII w/6" barrel.

On our honeymoon we stopped at a shooting range and she banged a few gongs with a Ruger GP-100 (.357).

She prefers a light pistol and light recoil. And she says scopes are cheating. (We used the have a 77/22 bolt gun with a scope.)

I hope she will like the 5.7mm - light recoil yet a more effective round.

Ammo is plentifull at ammunition2go and Cabelas and ....

SR,
I have pics in general firearms of my new Beretta 89. The thread
is called finally .22. I use GT for pics, so I'm very limited. I had to delete
a couple here to post those.

Last summer I took out two computers with photo bucket. It took
hours to get my computers back up. (actually Wrencher took them out
but we won't get into that) :whistling:

My local dealer said they rarely get a SW 19 in. Folks must like them.
That sure is a pretty little striped .22 single shot. I collect Winchester
67's. They are single shot bolt .22's. The long gun with the diamond
inlay is pretty. What is it? There are a lot of scopes in those pics.
Were they for hunting or target shooting, or both? Is the Winchester
that is wrapped up a lever gun?
SG

What do you mean by taking out computers with photobucket? They are a web based picture hosting service. If you would like help getting an account set up I think I know someone who could walk you through it.:winkie:

S&W 19's seem to be sought after around here too. When I took one to a dealer here to get the correct grips he was more interested in talking me out it than selling me parts for it.

The rifle with the diamond inlay is a Remington .22 semi automatic. The stock is plastic and the gun feels cheap. The wrapped Winchester is indeed a lever action. I asked about it earlier and was told it was one of the last ones manufactured before production was stopped for WWII. Wolfe has no idea what it might be worth but suggested I be very careful with it.

Which .22 single shot are you referring to?
