View Full Version : Rolex Thunderbird watch
Anyone ever seen such a watch that actually has a "jet" on the faceplate (if that's what it's called) and is inscribed to the pilot to whom it was awarded? Any idea what one is worth if it's authentic, been worn and is slightly "scuffed"? Yes, I've seen one but have no idea how to determine its authenticity or value.
I recently saw a Rolex on Ebay that had Thunderbird in the description. I looked at the pictures, but saw no jet/Thunderbird markings on the watch itself. You may want to head over to Ebay and do a search for yourself to see if it's what you were looking for......:dunno:
Most likely that's a fake, or at least has an aftermarket dial. Rolex never made the T-Bird with a jet on the dial. Here's a pic of a real one.
