Was curious what holster you guys use for your 39, pics would be cool too. :whistling: I use a Desantis Pro Stealth IWB and am looking for an improvement. Good holster, just don't like the xtra mag pouch thing.

I use the following for my G39:

Blade-tech OWB
Blade-tech Nano IWB
Galco Horsehide pocket holster
Raven Ghost Belt Slide

Pictured below is the G39 in a Nano (on the left) and in a Raven Ghost.

I ordered another Raven Ghost Left Hand and ordered an OD model 38 to go in it.

Clould have the OD Glock 38 in 6 weeks.

Supertuck for my 39, my 37 fits in it too! Best holster I have ever had.

I use a Comp-Tac M-Tac Slide model. Fits my 39. My 17 fits in it, too - although it's just a touch loose.

Does anyone ankle-carry his/her G39? If so, which have you tried, and which do you prefer? I'm in a wheelchair, so I'm thinking ankle-carry might be just the thing for me.

I've tried ankle carry with my G39, but it hurt too much. There's just too much weight, and it was coming down on the top of my angle. Didn't matter how much lambs fur was there. But for you, since you won't be walking, it may work for you. Especially if you get one of those straps that you can wrap around the top of your calf and hook it to the top of the ankle holster.

Chad, thanks for the tip, particularly the part about a supporting strap around the calf. That seems like a good idea.

I ankle carry the 39 in a Galco ankle glove for the Glock 19. Fits the 39 just fine and very comfortable.

I ankle carry in a DeSantis holster as a back up while on duty. Very easy if wearing boots to hold the holster from sliding down too much.

I alos carry it in a CQC blackhawk holster made for the G21. fits perfect.

The Raven Ghost is very secure. I bought it so that I would only need 1 holster while practicing with my G37, G38 and G39. In a very short time it has become my favorite, most concealable holster.

Ive heard a lot about this holster. Are they worth the money? and what are they made of?

Since you're sitting all day, I'll retract my suggestion for the M-Tac. Any normal IWB/OWB holster is going to be problematic while seated - it's either so far back that you have to work to draw it, or it's far enough forward, but the cant of the holster makes it difficult to draw.

Better solutions exist. Ankle carry, shoulder holster, or a crossdraw holster. Crossdraw is probably the most convenient and comfortable, although it may be the hardest to conceal.

Am I correct in assuming the frame is the same as the 26/27/33, but with a larger slide?

You are correct.

The Raven Ghost is made of Kydex and worth every penny in cost and every day in lead time.

Danny, is the Ghost one size fits all Glock-wise or does it need to be ordered for the particular Glock (in my case 38) you're going to use it for?

I ankle carry the 39 in a Galco ankle glove for the Glock 19. Fits the 39 just fine and very comfortable.

Why did you get the holster for the G19?!?

If it was the slide dimensions you where worried about you could have gotten the ankle glove for the 26/27/33.

That is my problem. I dont know wether to the ankle glovee for the 26/27/33 or for the 29/30.

Will the G39 fit in holster for the 26/27/33?

What ankle holster is good? Im between the fobus and the ankle glove.

I think Raven offers the Ghost in 3 Glock sizes:

9mm/.40/.357

45acp/10mm

.45GAP

I have the .45GAP and am waiting on a 9/40/357 which is due around 2/01/10.

Didn't see the Gap holsters on their website but once I went to the Malabar Front site I found the Gap option. Just ordered one. Thanks Danny.

My G39 is in the Supertuck I have used for my G26, G19, G36. The slide is a little bit too thick on the G39, so I have to be careful placing the gun in the holster.

If I were you I'd look at a holster called a cross draw ( I think ). If you are right handed get a holster that you would wear at 10 or 11 o'clock on your left side.

I use a Comp-Tac M-Tac Slide model. Fits my 39. My 17 fits in it, too - although it's just a touch loose.

Is it loose around the slide and normal around the Trigger Guard catch? I am picking up a 38, and already have 2 19's.

I am ok if the slide is a little loose with the 19's and the catch on the trigger guard holds it in place.

I am also wondering how the G38 fits in a G19 MTAC? I would guess there is at least a little play with the leather back.

Thanks all,

Thx-1138

Loose around the slide - but not much. It is, after all, IWB, where the belt pulls it in a bit.

It's a personal preference i guess...but I love leather and these glock 30 holsters fit like a glove my G39's fatter slide ...i could not push him into a glock 26 leather holster I had ....the ones built for the 30 and 30sf ...I think have the same slide thickness .. anyway the G39 fit into them well enough for my carry purposes and I will be using these two here in the photos below cause I already have them bought... now the mags need a 9mm pouch,,,, as some one said before perfect in the 9mm leather mag pouch. MAGS WILL NOT FIT SNUG IN THE GLOCK30 mag pouch.
