I don't see this load on the Winchester LE page of their website. I have seen pictures of the SXT load; RA45GT, does anyone know if they make a T-series load. Thanks,
Dr.

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure, but I've never seen any. Its a good round, I had some 165grain .40's awhile back and they shot well thru my Walther P99. But if you can't find any Ranger T's then by all means get some 230grain HST's, I love that round.

I started a thread back in June about GAP ammo. I found the Ranger T for about $25 a box at:
http://www.eastcoastgunsales.com/product.php?ID=7577 (http://www.eastcoastgunsales.com/product.php?ID=7577)

That was $25 for a 50 round box.
So, yes they make it, but don't advertise it.
It's "restricted" to law enforcement sales by the maker, but that doesn't make it illegal to own, just difficult to obtain.
This is a new "tweaked" version of the Black Talon round that was pulled from "civilian" sales around 1994.
Why should law enforcement get "better" ammo? :miff:

And "restricted" translates to "desireable". :whistling:

Oddly enough I've got the 39 loaded with Gold Dot :embarassed:

Ranger T 230 gr. only went 752 F.P.S. out of the 39, 288# KE.
Gold Dot 185 gr. averaged 932 F.P.S. 356# KE and demonstrated better expansion in water.

The "civilian" load seems to perform better from a compact pistol better than the "restricted" load. :tongueout:

I just did a quick search on Gunbroker for 45 GAP, various kinds are available. The selection includes a couple of boxes of Ranger, but it ain't $25 a box.

As far as I knew the RA45GT is still the T-series

I had a box of 180grain Ranger T's and it didn't say SXT, it said "T-Series", newer maybe?

That might be, so would the SXT be marketed for civialian use then? And the Ranger-T for LE's?

Good question, I don't know. I see on the side of my boxes on the bottom it says SXT, but also marked Law Enforcement..
