I found an actual good deal at Cheaper than Dirt, the first one I've seen there in ages -- Federal 9mm 115 grain +P+ JHPs for $19.59/box of 50. CDNN wants $24.99 and Cope's is asking $29.99.

This is excellent carry ammo at a dang good price, even with $12 shipping.

Drat, after I ordered from CTD, I see an outfit named Streichers.com has it for $17/box.

Heck, maybe I could've keep shopping around and got it for free! :)

That's about right -- here lately they've been Higher than S***, not Cheaper than Dirt.

I see now that Streicher's is a GT sponsor. They have the stuff for $17/box. Anyone have any feedback from having done business with them?

Yeah, I've felt for a long time that they need to change their company name to something more like 'Expensive as Hell'.

Expensive as Hell

Cheaper than Diamonds

Cheaper than Gold

Expensive as S***

What the Hell

All of these are more appropiate names compared for them.

Yes Streicher's has it for $17 a box, but it's backordered and you'll probably wait a few months to receive it.

$19.59 for in stock ammo, or $17 for backordered ammo. Only you can decide which is a better deal for you.

:whistling: Bad news: Streicherīs only sells +p+ ammo to LEO.

Well, I didn't actually try to order any from Streicher's, since I'd already ordered it from CTD, so I didn't know about the backorder thing or the LEO restriction.

If they only sell the +P+ to LEO's, that's silly. Any civilian can get a much more powerful load simply by purchasing a .357 SIG caliber firearm.

I just ordered 2 boxes from CTD. It was $49/shipped. I have been wanting to test this ammo for awhile now. $20/50rds is a great price. I have only heard positive things about this ammo. I may have to get a few more boxes soon. I am currently using Corbon DPX 9mm+P, however I cannot afford to practice with it as much as I would like to. The Federal 9BPLE is inexpensive and I can shoot a box or two and not spend $60+.

Mine was $51 shipped. It must cost 'em less to ship to Michigan than Oklahoma. Strange. But on the plus side, they shipped it out the same day I bought it.

Does anyone have info on what this load might chrono out of a G26?

Does anyone have info on what this load might chrono out of a G26?
From an old post of mine:

I chronographed five different brands of factory ammo through six different 9mm Glocks a few days ago in 40 degree temperatures. Except for the Corbon 125 grain loads, all loads had 115 grain bullets.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Three shot strings were fired with the Corbons (I had only one 20 round box), and five round strings were fired with the rest of them. The velocity shown represents the average speed in feet per second (fps).
<o:p></o:p>
I found the velocity loss in the G17C to be interesting, and I had some trouble with the Corbon ammo which is detailed below.
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Winchester White Box (100 round value pack):
<o:p></o:p>
G17L - 1202

G17C - 1108

CCI Blazer Brass:
<o:p></o:p>
G17L - 1112
G34 - 1119
G17 - 1086
G17C - 1049
G19 - 1056
G26 - 1024
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Fiocchi:
<o:p></o:p>
G17L - 1186
G34 - 1203
G17 - 1157
G17C - 1115
G19 - 1157
G26 - 1097
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Federal 9BPLE (+P+):
<o:p></o:p>
G17L - 1275
G34 - 1275
G17 - 1245
G17C - 1187
G19 - 1195
G26 - 1171
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Corbon 125 gr (+P):

I just had 12 boxes of this stuff delivered to the house from them two weeks ago from them. I'm no LEO.

They either changed their policy or someone at Streicher's fouled up. Who knows?

Unless you are neighbors the shipping amount will not be the same.

Got the ammo today and shot a box of it through my G26 (would've shot more but the recent snowfall has left it muddy and yucky here). Perfect reliability, as I expected. Recoil was not noticeably greater than with standard velocity 115 grain JHP. And I only shot offhand at about 15 yards, but accuracy was not bad, either. POI did seem to be about an inch or so to the left of the standard stuff, for some reason.

I'll shoot more of it soon, but my initial impressions are favorable.

Yeah. I was gonna say I thought they had a banner here. Best price + sponsor = WIN

If you're into 115gr +P+ 9mm loads, consider the Winchester Ranger RA9115HP. This is a hot load, too.

Got mine yesterday. Pretty fast shipping. I will be testing them out this weekend. If they are accurate and preform 110%, they might become my new carry round. Then I will stock up on more

I was a little surprised at the velocity results. Standard Winchester white box is shooting faster out of the G-34 than the 9BPLE +P+ out of the G-26. Goes to show you how much velocity you are losing out of the shorter barrel.

I wonder just how reliable expansion is out of the shorter 26 barrel. This may be a case where a FMJ might be warranted to ensure proper penetration.

After their latest round of post-election price gouging I wouldn't buy a box of 9mm from Cheaper Than Dirt if It was $1 shipped and I had a 75 cent coupon.

Thank you. I get so sick of hearing cops refer to non cops as civilians. America has CIVILIAN law enforcement. Which is another reason why I get pissed at gun laws that have an impact on everyone, but always have an exemption for LE. The definition of tyranny is that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry.

If I have to be restricted to a 10 round magazine then the cops better be too. I'm not LE hating, not at all, just hating on the stupid laws that do nothing to stop crime.

Main Entry: ci·vil·ian
Pronunciation: \sə-ˈvil-yən also -ˈvi-yən\
Function: noun
Date: 14th century

1 : a specialist in Roman or modern civil law
2 a : one not on active duty in the armed services or not on a police or firefighting force b : outsider 1

— civilian adjective

Anyway, I do agree that gun laws do little to prevent crime.

Military referring to to law enforcement as civilian is still correct due to 2. B in reference to outsider, but in general reference, police officers are not civilians by definition.
