View Full Version : System info software?
Hey,
I'm looking for a program (preferably freeware or very cheap) that will give me a basic inventory of my PC hardware. The big things I'm looking for are what type of RAM (DDR2, DDR3, 533mhz, 667mhz, etc) and processor info (Make, model, speed) and maybe hard drive but I can find that in the bios.
Any suggestions?

Belarc: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
or
Faronics System Profiler: http://www.faronics.com/HTML/SysProfiler.asp
Either of those should give you most of the info you need. Astra32 or SiSoftware Sandra are paid programs that also provide a ton of info.

I have found SIW to be the most complete. It even retrieves product keys and passwords.

CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php) does everything you need, except maybe the hard drive part, and it's free. Older versions didn't need to be installed, but newer versions do.

Roger this! Been using it for years, and it always gets better! Gives you motherboard info too...
Bel-Arc Adviser Rocks! (Although I haven't use any of the others suggested, so I can't make any comparisons.)
