i am not so sure of the details of that supposed ban but glocks from USA are available through guns for the good guys. gen 4 not yet but maybe after the gun ban.

Is the recoil spring guide still plastic or metal?

from what i read at thefirearmblog it will still be plastic but will all be captive dual spring (ala glock 26 recoil spring/rod) design

Any idea of what the texture of the RTF3 is like ? I never opted for a RTF because I did not want to take the chance of it snagging my clothes during conceal carry when I sit down / stand up. What is the difference in the texture ?

These options on the gen4 are mostly to suit each type of individual preference, with the exception of the recoil spring and so, the gen3, given that I am right handed and sits very well in my hand, still is a good piece of firearm.

The gen4 doesnt seem to provide any real plus from that perspective. I guess to upgrade a gen3, I wonder if we can just pop the gen4 spring assembly into the gen3, (which should work).
