I've wanted to use my cartooning skills "formally" for quite a while, and I've decided to post cartoons on www.ultimatereloader.com (http://www.ultimatereloader.com)
In this comic, our friend "Reloader Rick" and his friends will have fun with the "color wars" (blue press -vs- red press, etc) as well as get into plenty of trouble.
I'll post some here, and you can also subscribe to my blog (click here: http://ultimatereloader.com/?feed=rss2 ) to get updates automatically.

Just kidding. I thought it was funny too.

You gotta have one with Rick hip deep in mud going after a single piece of brass...

I don't get it... that's what all my loads do. :dunno: Makes it easier to recover the lead for re-melting.

I like it... good art work and very apropos caption. Reloaders can relate, (well, maybe bob2223 can't but we're talking actual reloaders here).

Looking forward to seeing more of them.

Hey, Ultimatereloader:

If you get a minute could you drop me a PM... I'm wondering if the roller handle on a LNL might help me with a little physical problem. Thanks.

Apparently your definition of 'won' is the same as Obama's... change the name of the war and pretend the first one never existed. :whistling:

Guess who?

If Rick is the precursor to the porn videos you promised us you have a bit more research to do. :whistling:

Mr. Ultimatereloader,

Where do you find the time mate? Planning, shooting and editing those videos takes a lot of effort and time. Now cartoons? And you reload! I think I could use some time management tips from you. Good work.

Hang in there, don't let the critics get you down. I've often found that those who critisize often couldn't do any better themselves.

The nice thing about our hobby, is that it can go both ways. Can't you see a blown up gun with the caption "Rick decided it was time to back off the hot loads just a bit."

Or Rick slaving over a single stage thinking about how nice a progressive would be. Followed by Rick and his progressive (and a bullet puller) undoing 1000 rounds of progressive ammo.

Or Rick and his single shot Contender (and fat wallet/nice wheels) looking wistfully at the guys with the full auto throwing lead down range. Followed by Rick with his new full auto (and empty wallet and moped).

The best ideas will come from your personal experiences.

You get two for the price of one.

Got any more?

BTW, another caption would be "Rick now understands what Jack means by 'mouse fart' loads"

Gavin,
Nice site. I'll tune in as I'm sure I'll see myself in one of your cartoons.

Thanks very much guys for the feedback. I think people act quite funny (myself included) and it's great to be able to "poke fun" at yourself.

Thanks for the ideas as well, I've already pictured Rick with a black face and hair plastered back (and hat blown off). Looking forward to it...

I would add glasses. Other then that I think it's great. You could use his shirt to tell a little more about the story. Maybe a pun like "Squibs Rule". I'm not good at this stuff. Sometimes simplier is better. I don't know.

Yes your pop guns do that but the humor you missed was this happened with a real gun :whistling:

Nice site, and an amusing cartoon.

Like others have said, I'm not much of an artist. I can do pipe drawings, isometrics and that sort of thing, but those have tools to help you draw.

Cartoons have no such tools. Good job!
