Opinions Wilson Quadrail.

I have never had a quad rail on my AR's, but I got my new
2010 Wilson Combat catalogs today and really like the looks
of theirs. Theirs are smooth on the sides except for about
1 1/2 inch on the front for mounting devices. The top and
bottom are fully railed with machined slots for mounting
sights, bipods or whatever else you want.

Anybody out there in Black Rifle Land use Wilson quads or have
an opinion on their rails. I have used other Wilson products
and all have been excellent. Many thanks.

You want AR parts, go to a good AR company.

You want 1911 parts, go to Wilson.

The flat portions on the sides of the rail are meant to give a more comfortable place to hold. The problem with that is rails get HOT without covers on them. The front portion of the sides is cut for KAC covers but the covers don't do well just hanging out in space with nothing supporting them from the back. The belief is that this rail was designed by the same guy who designed rails for both KAC and DD.
