Shall I change anything on this rattlesnake or not?
I mean....is there anything that SHOULD be exchanged to make it a little bit more....:dunno:
Or maybe it's just fine as it is?

How about the beavertail and hammer combo?
Is it really important or just cosmetics...thanks :)

Adam I used to carry a gun like that concealed and the hammer and grip safety would dig into my skin real bad, so IMO that combo is not good for CCW but since you don't have CCW in Canada that would not be an issue for ya my friend:thumbsup:

Thanks Mark.
As You said - it's meant to be just a range/HD pistol (I'm not really sure about the HD part yet).
Pistol will come tuned by the gunsmith (smoothing, tightening and tuning the trigger included in the package).

It's perfect just as it is, a true 1911.

A "true" 1911 doesn't have a lowered/flared ejection port...:whistling:

OP...nice gun.:wavey:

If I were you, I wouldn't change a thing.
I do not get "slide bite" and I love the RETRO look of the grip safety and spur hammer!

If it were mine I'd get better sights and a different trigger. If the trigger and grip safety suits you then leave them alone, but I would change the sights regardless.

I think it's a fine looking gun as it is, elegant in it's simplicity; but that's all up to you.

It can be important. It depends on how you grip the gun. If you use a high grip and it pinches the webbing of your thumb, you could probably do with a beavertail and new hammer. Try it and see how it feels as it is first.

Mostly, just practice with it and learn the gun. The more you shoot it, the better an idea you'll have of what you want to change.

Thanks, your advice makes perfect sense :)

The gunsmith is offering two, different triggers as an option:
- McCormick Match aluminum or,
- STI Titanium/Carbon fiber for 1911.

I suspect you're going to really enjoy learning the gun.

...nor does it have the bigger shghts. But sadly, the Chi-Comm 1911 is closer to the 'real 1911' then most ANYTHING made in the USA (or anywhere else)

The only mod I would do would be to buy a Cliner or Kimber .22 conversion kit.

shoot it with the trigger it came with

The 'match aluminum' and the 'ti/carbon' options your gunsmith are giving you are both inferior products by comparison.

They aren't FLIPPER.

I like my Norinco, but they are not true 1911A1 replicas as they have larger sights and a lowered and flared port.

I guess that it doesn't bother me at all
