Smith Wesson M&P15 vs Colt 6920

I can get a pretty decent deal on a new M&P15, but just wondered how it would compare to what I was looking at buying initially. Anyone have experience with either weapon or with both in comparison to each other?

This is in the wrong forum but I have a 15T from S&W. Love mine. I'm not a cop or grunt but I would trust my rifle in SHTF. Haven't had any issues yet with it. I'm sure either would serve you fine.
