Browning on my Remington 700 SPS Varmint barrel

Hi,

I was cleaning my R700 after a day at the range, and I put a little Breakfree CLP on the outside of my barrel. For some reason, since I did that, its left a slight brown tint to the barrel. Did I just mess over the finish or will it go away. Any help appreciated.

Got the problem fixed. It seems like it is super stubborn dirt or something. I used a solvent, then used hoppes 9 oil instead and it made it look brand new.
