Those were produced by a company that made typewriters {Remington Rand}, not the gun company. The gun company only made them during WWI.

Remington Rand produced 1911A1s during WWII, not Remington.

I've only heard or Remington Rand making 1911's but the logo on that particular 1911 in the picture looks like the Remington firearms company logo, not the traditional Remington Rand roll marks you see on the old RR guns. I'm curious now,this begs further investigation!
