Any experiences with this one? It's got the features I like.

Very nice gun. I had a GRP for a while. It shot great and was built with high quality. I just couldn't warm up to the way it felt in my hands. I have 2 Baers and they fit my hand like they were made for it. I also had a Wilson that felt just like the GRP. Sold it too. The quality of Nighthawk, Wilson , Brown and Baer are all so close it's like splitting hairs. Hold each one and decide for your self.

Nice pistol - with Nighthawk Custom offering excellent customer service. I recently considered it, a Wilson Combat CQB and an Ed Brown Special Forces when I decided to include an example of a 5 inch tactical 1911 in my modest collection. It came down to Wilson Combat having been in the business about 28 years longer than Nighthawk Custom and having much better customer service than Ed Brown, so I bought the Wilson Combat CQB.

I consider all three guns to be of comparable quality.

The GRP is outstanding as Nighthawks's entry level model. To me, its right up there with the Wilson CQB.

There is no such thing as "entry level" once you get into this quality of firearms. Great guns.

Yes there is. All the semi custom shopd have their entry level model.

Its not an entry level 1911, but its Nighthawk's entry level model, as in their least expensive.

All Nighthawk's are of the same great quality, but the feature set of the GRP makes it their entry level 1911.

Its really just a figure of speech.
