I'm putting the twins up for sale. both were built from chinese AK's. one is a B-west build from the early 90's and one I had done by dave at elite firearms. they have 10&1/2" barrels. more to come later. must go to ffl and pistols must be shipped overnight by fed x. shipping is $50 and includes insurance.

the B-West was purchased off gunbroker a few months ago and is #55 from a run of about 90 made by BW in the early 90's I believe. shoots well - the round count is pretty low - I ran 3 mags through it and it wasn't shot by previous owner. he said he didn't know how many rounds had been through it when he got it but it is very clean so it hasn't seen the outside of a safe too often.

now on the Elite build. I picked up one of RPB's last 10" front end builds about 2 years ago at a cost of $400. these were cut down by Mr RPB himself. I then collect parts and contact Dave at elite. I did a lot of research before deciding to go with him. his name was consistantly brought up as one of the best (yet cantankerous) AK builders in the US by most everyone I talked to. I was pleased with the results. the one with the darker wood is the Elite build. it also shoots well with only 100 or so down the pipe. as you can see they are both 20-21" in length. the BW is 1/2" shorter. how many chinese builds are there? you can get a Romanian or AMD pistol but the amd's are much longer and although a shorter rom pistol is out there it is still a low quality piece. (remember last year when EVERYONE was saying how crapy the romanian AK's were??? now they are $700) both receivers on these are the thicker 1.6mm version. do the math on these - I don't think you could have one built for less than $2000 today. and for those (and we all know these guys) of you who are "waiting on the prices to go down" I say good luck and see ya..........

I think a lot of people are trying to unload things they "hastily" bought during the panic over the past year or so.

I'd like to know where this fellow did his research. His conclusions about his builders are completely opposite what's actually written on many of the forums.

I've had GREAT luck buying on GunBroker but there's a lot of dishonest people selling off garbage right now. I just purchased my first "dud" a few weeks ago and am trying to return it.

I have seen worse on gun broker and on local sales sites. All they have to do is find an unsuspecting buyer and there are plenty out there.

Dave Michener is a CROOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this man took my money, in exchange for doing work on my ak, which included duracoating and cutting/recrowning my barrel. he used krylon or rustoleum in place of duracoat, and he hacksawed my barrel and attached a muzzlebrake without cleaning or crowning his hack-job. in addition to this, he tried to steal my east german bolt/bolt-carrier, and pass off the romanian original, that i gave him, as the east german. in summation this man not only tried to rip me off, badly, but also told me to go f@$% myself when i asked him if he had actually done this work.

this man needs to be put out of business. when you think of elitefirearms.net, you should think hessan/vulcan. that is the quality that you can expect from Dave Michener, lower quality than Century Arms.

that is my my word.

i sure hope some swindled and rightfully disgruntled customer doesn't buckwheat you and leave you in a field, Dave.

i testify to this with my balls and my word. it is the truth.

Very nice looking Krinks.

I'm sure they are very well make, but what good are they. They're cool big boys toys. A Krink is a PDW Personal Defensive Weapon. Short range 25 meter and in designed for tankers, armor drivers and air craft crews. But for most us civilians it's a bullet hose. It's cool to tell all your range buddy "I'll got an Osama bin Laden gun."

Nice guns but I can buy a nice Arsenal and a lot of ammo for $3000.00
